Kipchumba Murkomen & Susan Kihika axed from Jubilee leadership

We begin with that boiling row in Jubilee over its leadership in the senate. The party's ousted leaders Kipchumba Murkomen and Susan Kihika have rejected the move to strip them of their positions, terming it as null and void. The duo claim that the meeting chaired by president Kenyatta that kicked them out, was unprocedural. Murkomen has been replaced by West Pokot Senator Samuel Poghisio as majority leader while Susan Kihika's position of chief whip will be taken over by Murang’a senator, Irungu Kang’ata. Sam Ogina reports on the move which is seen as signaling the beginning of a bare-knuckles battle between the president and his Deputy, William Ruto.
