Thank you for making this video. It would be interesting to hear some on-the-road stories from Leslie. We have heard quite a bit from others, such as Gene or Craig, but no detailed stories from the Honkette perspective. She looks great and as a LS fan of 50+ years, I wish her good health and happiness. She truly represents history.
To me Leslie was the prettiest honkette. She always carried herself with genuine class. God bless Lynyrd Skynyrd and Leslie the classy lady of a classy band.
Leslie has always been a class act! I saw the original band 7 times growing up in the SF Bay Area. We used to evaluate the concerts, the musicians, and the songs, after each concert. We were all young men and we used to evaluate the Honkettes as well! And as beautiful as they all were, we always picked Leslie as the most beautiful! She still is!!! She is a great person and it's good to see her. Hi Leslie!
I read that she was the inspiration for the Atlanta Rhythm Section song So Into You...According to Wikipedia ARS drummer Robert Nix was smitten with her.
Thank you Craig and Griff and everybody involved for raising awareness and money for the survivors. It warms my heart to see this nice lady is still with us! God bless her and the survivors that went through that terrible crash and all the people that support this effort for the survivors!
Oh my goodness, it's so great to see Leslie and see that she's doing so good. She looks amazing. I'm so happy that she is with her soul mate and living a good life. I've often wondered if she might write a book. I'm sure it would be an amazing seller! I wish she would think about that. Love you Leslie!
I haven't forgotten ya Leslie, and how incredible that carry over vocal you do in "that Smell", your vocals on that song gives me chills everytime i listen to it. Very much love from Knoxville TN ❤
Leslie, Skynyrd fans, and there is a lot of them, will never forget you! Bobby you are a lucky man, and you are obviously crazy in love with Leslie as it shows the way you look at her...
Often wondered what happened to Leslie Hawkins and good to she is doing well . Survived the plane crash and now is the sole surviving member of the Honkettes .❤
That's one person who I would love to see on the stone Roadie show sometime. I listen to the stone Roadie show as much as I can especially when I'm driving my tractor trailer everyday and I have heard a lot of input about the band but I'd sure like to hear some stories from her. She was mighty fine back then and she's still a mighty fine lady
It was so good to watch this. I know respectfully, Leslie and her husband lead a private life and that’s very understandable…. If she only knew how many of us out here would love to hear stories and anyone be able to ask questions about that time being a Honkette. But it sure was good to see this… did not know about this little clip. Anyways….. sending love and long live the original music of Lynyrd Skynyrd❤️❤️
You know, I was younger than the band, but was a big fan even to this day I'd lean toward listening to Skynyrd. I also just wanted to say that I could tell about the band members how they were even though I didn't know any of you. I do get the feeling that you were a little wilder than me, I guess that came with the territory. I had a few wild times myself. Seems like the wilder you are the more likely your life would be shortened. I lost some good friends when they were younger because they were a bit wilder. It's a shame because these were good people who shouldn't have left as soon as they did. May God bless you all.
Leslie, if you see this; first off you look amazing! I’m very much into music, and I’m curious what bands did you & the rest of the group listen to on the tour bus, at home, parties, BBQ’s, plane etc?
Thats exactly what Ronnie wanted , the Rowdy Rock n Roll Bad Boy Reputation. Not to exactly Live it All , but the Public Image. He was more the Scrapper when young and growing up I imagine. Dont get me wrong , he had his moments like cutting Garys Hand up , Confronting Ed King , which he was probly the smartest by leaving , If I were Gary , that would have been it for me to. Most were hestiant to do much , never knowing if they should call his bluff. Its like an abusive relationship , that people wait to late to leave. Its a good thing he had good friends. Those times popped up at times. But alot of Ronnies Bad Boy image , some true , some not , are still present today. It Worked.
Leslie is really looking great. God bless you Leslie ❤❤❤
Leslie, you are looking so great!❤
So Glad to see You ! God Bless You!❤

Shes a good one!
Nice to see Leslie..did Artimus Pyle get a check?
He got a voucher for a free " little old man's haircut " at Joe's barber shop.
Uhhhh....No. Loved his drumming in the band, but in my opinion, shut up. Everybody is dead man. That ship sailed. In 1977!!!

Better than that, he was the drummer for a great late '70s band named Roadmaster.
👍
Leslie is still hot in an old lady kind of way.
What doesn't Judy and the skynyrd machine help her out....not right.
