Talk about an end of an era for Seattle... I'm a Pats fan but you cannot deny how great that defense was there. IMO those defensive units was at their peak in the 2013 - 2014 seasons and will go down as the GOAT defensive units. Now that the 2010s era of football is about to be at a close there were 2 things that stood out to me. 1) being Brady and Bill establishing Themselves as the GOAT and 2) being this Seattle unit winning games with swag, attitude, and borderline craziness that changed the landscape and rebranded the Seahawks. They brought the mentality of a crazy atmosphere there in the form of the "12th man" that made Central Link field one of the most devastating places to play in. They literally made their presence known to the NFL with a "Boom." All starting from a comment made by Richard Sherman after a game they beat the Patriots and Tom Brady especially in a physical and scrappy game. The "You Mad Bro?" taunt heard from around the world that brought the LOB and Sherman into focus as villians. The Defensive Vets and other past players was impressed with it because they know how serious Brady is about winning and preparing that it made them smile when he got "Punched in the mouth" as they say and thrown off his game. They knew how Great Brady is it just made them laugh when one group of individuals didn't give a damn and just played the game with an intensity that said, "They didn't get the memo on, You are going against Tom Brady and just treated him like another QB." They brought back much needed excitement and physicality on the defensive side where the league was going extremely pass happy and the long time defensive units that were old school in the Ray Lewis Ravens, Brian Urlacher Bears, or Troy Polomalu Steelers were getting old and couldn't catch up anymore. As QBs were dominating they brought back and blended old school with New school on the defensive side to counteract the QB driven league. Leading them basically decimating the competition and playoff football was ALWAYS a thing around that unit. That defense didn't take a play off and would jump on the chances for opportunities to make plays. Thats what happen in that 2013 season and that is what they did to Peyton Manning in that superbowl. Make plays and dominate. So when the 2014 season started and that team was on the verge on a repeat through the playoffs but with Brady and Bill on the other side trying to revive the Patriots dynasty; it lead to an electrically charged Super Bowl 49 that was going feature a clash of 2 heavyweights. A superbowl to this day I say is still the GOAT I witnessed and one of the best performances of Brady's career. He went against fierce competition in the Seahawks and established his place as the GOAT QB. Talk about legendary and its sad to see not a rematch between these two in a super bowl.
BeastMode 21: Seattle Never recovered from that Loss. The Patriots broke them. While the Seahawks showed cocky arrogance New England showed that they were a tougher team who was ready for the moment of truth. A potential Dynasty was aborted that night.
Felt like a show watching this team play as a kid. Always end up coming back to watch Seahawks' highlights from around this era. It's a nostalgic trip. I remember watching every Seahawk game back then. Takes me back. Still fun to watch.
@@antoniomartinez6603 No, that is not true. Seahawks fan here, and SF has used and abused us the last several years. Epic games during the LOB era, but credit where credit is due. SF is stacked with talent. Unfortunately for them, the injury demon is now taking his due this year.
I told my fellow hawks all the time during this time to appreciate what we have, don’t take it for granted, cause this won’t last forever. It’s going to end eventually. And it did. But I’ll never forget how I felt watching these guys play, it was unreal. No matter the situation, I always felt that we would come down with the ball some how. Whether an interception, forced fumble, or turn over on downs. I always felt that they would make a stop. This defense was LEGENDARY.
Idk if you can call them the legion of boom without the nastiest corner in the game #brandonbrowner. That clip when he laid out 3 Arizona cardinals in under 4 seconds? Trippin....
They made the tip drill and knowing the rules of the game in to an art form. It was a perfect storm of talent evaluation, scheme and coaching. One of the most fun defenses to watch.
Im so glad I could witness this legendary defense. They made playing defense look cool in an era where everyone wanted to play receiver, qb, and running back.
Best defense I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. I'm also partial to the 07 Giants since they're my home team but yeah, LOB was legendary, once in a generation type of stuff.
I’m a Panther fan so dealing with these guys back from 2013-2015 was a headache. They were legendary though. You could only beat them by running the ball, passing it was always a 50/50 shot of a completion unless you hit the side sherman wasn’t on. Although during that era the panthers were built identical to the Seahawks and were no slouch so it started a good rivalry for sure.
This team was so good, not just the big hits and the interceptions, but the forcing fumbles, intimidating offenses, forcing bad plays, they were all difference makers. It’s too bad it didn’t last as long as it could, but Super Bowl 48 speaks for itself how amazing this defense is.
Even though I’m not a Seahawks fan, I really miss the Legion of Boom and this team. Hard to believe that nobody is left from their Super Bowl 48 team as of today.
They literally came up with what are called "Legion of Boom" rules for referees to use because of their physical style of defense. I think they were one of if not the most penalized defenses. Go Hawks!
dude the 2014 broncos (who the seahawks beat 43-8 in the superbowl) are still today the greatest offense of all time. The LOB would destroy those stupid cheifs and it wouldnt be close at all. I would love to see it aswell tho :)

@@animeshgandhi1551 Yep, seattle has never been the same
@@FuriousFanBoy- Well Brady is old so he should've fallen off longtime ago, yet he still is playing good (except this current yr).
"He has followers and not just on twitter!" Lmao🤣🤣😂
Felt like a show watching this team play as a kid. Always end up coming back to watch Seahawks' highlights from around this era. It's a nostalgic trip. I remember watching every Seahawk game back then. Takes me back. Still fun to watch.
One of the most impressive super bowl victories of all time
7:47 I was at that game when it happened. The crowd went insane
It was biblical
@@juanfelipe8484 yeah it was absolutely magical
No matter what happens in the future we Seahawks fans can always have this forever

The Forty-Whiners dreaded playing the Seahawks....especially in Seattle.
We beat u guys this past year...
@@ashutoshpai1383 we beat you guys this past year too...
@@thejackrabbit877 @ we could have a 6th ring if refs were shitty in 2013 NFC championship game we got robbed
@@ashutoshpai1383 the 49ers will forever be known as the Seahawks kids and I ain’t even a Seahawks fan
LOB, that legendary defense had the best chemistry. They’re literally like a pack of lions jumping a gazelle
People think the Seahawks are done... People aren't always right.
Daniel Chan Yeah? And how many do they have without Tom Brady, huh?😏
I'm a Steelers fan and I miss watching the Legion. What a defense 👏 . Would of love to see them stay together longer.
I miss troy from Steelers . He just like cam, earl
Idk if you can call them the legion of boom without the nastiest corner in the game #brandonbrowner. That clip when he laid out 3 Arizona cardinals in under 4 seconds? Trippin....
isaac ava I remember that lol. That stopped the whole play.
Link me to it
R.I.P Legion of boom only if they were still young, old times
But I am still a seahawks fan
Go Hawks
Gotta stay loyal
Go hawks
Greatest secondary ever.
Not even close
They made the tip drill and knowing the rules of the game in to an art form. It was a perfect storm of talent evaluation, scheme and coaching. One of the most fun defenses to watch.
Y'all forgot about Brandon Browner the other CB and Walter Thurmond the 3rd who was the Nickel. Both Key members of the LOB.
While true. These guys were like Hogan Nash and Hall. The ogs
Browner is a traitor. We don't talk about him around here.
Or the front d line either, Bennett and Avril were top d linemen for those years as well
Im so glad I could witness this legendary defense. They made playing defense look cool in an era where everyone wanted to play receiver, qb, and running back.
So grateful to be able to witness this defense play in my lifetime
I’m so privileged to have seen them grow together and develop into one of the Best Defenses of all time...awesome
Best defense I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. I'm also partial to the 07 Giants since they're my home team but yeah, LOB was legendary, once in a generation type of stuff.
I still love the Seahawks but I so miss the LoB. :(
I’m a Panther fan so dealing with these guys back from 2013-2015 was a headache. They were legendary though. You could only beat them by running the ball, passing it was always a 50/50 shot of a completion unless you hit the side sherman wasn’t on. Although during that era the panthers were built identical to the Seahawks and were no slouch so it started a good rivalry for sure.
Sherman, thomas, chancellor, Wagner, Wright, bennet, avril, Irvin, browner, Maxwell, lane, Thurmond, Reed, McDougald, smith. Just pure chaos
I’m not even a Seahawks fan but I miss this era. Such domination. So much fun to watch.
I'm not even football person, I don't even know what is happening and I get chills how good they play!
One of the best defenses in NFL history, best of the decade💯
They Picked off Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Ben, Cam, Eli, & Rivers. Jeez.
I wonder where a drew int is😁
Joshua Kovacic in OT of the playoffs
RIP Manning.
Everyone picks off Eli and Rivers
Did they pic off Brees? Aw, that stinks.. I smell a GOAT!!
R.I.P Lehion of boom
Greatest defense ever in nfl
Greatest defense ever lmao! That’s a bit of a stretch, there’s a few defenses I’d take over this defense any day.
@@twrecks-mt1ur not a stretch
the bests* Bears 85', Ravens 00' and Legion of boom
This team was so good, not just the big hits and the interceptions, but the forcing fumbles, intimidating offenses, forcing bad plays, they were all difference makers. It’s too bad it didn’t last as long as it could, but Super Bowl 48 speaks for itself how amazing this defense is.
Even though I’m not a Seahawks fan, I really miss the Legion of Boom and this team. Hard to believe that nobody is left from their Super Bowl 48 team as of today.
Anyone in 2020 I miss this group 😢
Watching this now so my pain eases. Being a Seahawks fan this season is hard.
They literally came up with what are called "Legion of Boom" rules for referees to use because of their physical style of defense. I think they were one of if not the most penalized defenses. Go Hawks!
That defense will forever be legendary.
"He has follower and not just on tweeter" gets me every time 4:41

dude the 2014 broncos (who the seahawks beat 43-8 in the superbowl) are still today the greatest offense of all time. The LOB would destroy those stupid cheifs and it wouldnt be close at all. I would love to see it aswell tho :)
The legion of boom and Russell Wilson is the reason why I’m a Seahawks fan
Did not age well
LoB had everything. Run stop, passing shut down, take aways, even a kick-a$$ name.
