XG are very raw and bold for breaking the stereotypes of Kpop. Simon gives them freedom like Chisa has a back tattoos, Jurin has septum piercing, Maya has belly piercing & Coco is the wildest who went bald. Some K-pop huge companies are very strict about beauty standards and some of them undergo surgery before debuting but XG they are real and they also stand out because of their authenticity & talent. Jurin got nose piercing and Maya got belly button piercing, I noticed this during their woke up era. They are living together in a dormitory, and they are in korea, that's where their company based on.
Their label XGALX is under AVEX which is the big Japanese music company. The headquarter is located in Tokyo Japan. (XGALX is one of the projects of AVEX to expand abroad.)
They spent 5 days working out the choreography no doubt in between doing the live tours and still had time to record a fancy dance practice video. The crazy thing is that they'll keep practicing this routine for each show they do and make adjustment off the fly depending on the venue stage. They do this for every song they make except for Winter Without You, because they need a break on their live shows as a cool down.
XG stands out as different and unique, which is why they don’t fit into the categories of K-pop or J-pop. Instead, they represent XPOP from Japan, aiming to conquer the global pop music industry!
For Jurin and Chisa wearing masks, they may be sick but in Japan, we are used to wear them when we’re sick, when we wanna keep the throat hydrated etc. Just to protect our nose and throat in general. Remember how ppl made fun of us Japanese(and other asian countries) for wearing masks when covid started… I think as artists they take extra care of their respiratory system !

XGALXは今は韓国にありますが、日本の大手音楽会社であるAVEXが本部/親会社ですし、そもそもAVEXの海外進出プロジェクトとして開始したlabelなのでメンバー全員が日本人か日本人mixです。Simonも日本人と韓国人のmixなので、日本的な考え方をしてくれるプロデューサーで本当に良かったです。
