So many of you ask to see my life outside of medicine. I had 2 weeks off after my audition and here are some things that i did :D (including working on my residency applications, yikes!!)

Over activity and production is a form of us coping with our anxiety. I love seeing you strive and reach your goals. I’ll also be here when you take your well deserved rest and recovery
Hi Rachel. Dropped off my youngest at college for the first time. He's in Golden, CO at Colorado School of Mines, coming from Florida. Then moved my dad into assisted living in the Atlanta area. Then my daughter drove herself from Florida to PA for her junior year as a pre-med & Anthropology major at Dickinson College. She moved into student housing where she and her roomies have a full kitchen for the first time. Very exciting and the cooking has immediately begun! A big week. Glad you had some down time. Be yourself and your interviews will go great. Hugs from a mama cheering for you!
I’m so glad I came across your videos! I’m a non-traditional applicant and will take my MCAT in March to send in my applications in the summer. It’s been what seems like a long journey, but seeing your enthusiasm and passion for medicine is really motivating! What you do by posting these videos really helps out people like me! Can't imagine you gonna be a RESIDENT in a year, that's crazy , I just remember like it was yesterday when I watched your first week in medical school vlog.
Here where I am we take 7 years to be doctors (understandable since we don't do college years ) but still when you were MS1 I was MS2 and next year i will be MS 5 and you gonna be a doctor 😂😂😂😂

A positive thing that happened recently in my life was a breakup. The choice and courage to walk away from a toxic relationship was the best decision I made so far! I hope we all realise our worth and not get treated any worse. That's been my coffee recipe too, Rach.

Last week i took a test, that could be described as a step 1 equivalent in Germany and it turned out to be way better than anticipated! You really helped me to stay motivated in the preparation and I wanna thank you with all my heart for that! You are amazing!!

Something exciting in my life is starting my medical school journey through a pathway program! Enjoy your videos so much! I’m a 3rd semester RN student in hoping to work in OB, and hopefully for a Dr. as passionate as you! When we have breaks in school I get SO thrown off going from 100% effort to a break.
Love your vlogs; I'm not a medical student (an opera singer lol), but I see a lot of similarity between us when it comes to productivity and work habits! Something positive: I finished an 8 show run a week ago and just signed my first professional show contract!

Just out of curiosity. How does it work with work hours in the US? Here in the Netherlands you're only allowed a maximum of 60 in a week, by law (if it's a one time thing). And when it's reoccurend it can only be 48 hours a week spread out over 16 weeks for example. So when you're saying 80-hours weeks I'm like wow!!! That's crazy. How do you stay focused and find your rest/balance personal life and stuff?
