I am completely chair-bound and bed bound because of advanced MS. I am paralyzed except for the use of my left arm. My bottom used to be so sore. A couple tricks that worked for me... I gained a little more weight. Not too much, because you don't want to be overweight with that extra weight, but I was so skinny, that my bones would poke through my bottom. The other thing, is I bought a seat cushion made by the company purple. It was about 60 something bucks. It's the best seat cushion I've ever used. I've tried everything. Memory foam, gel, expensive d products that promised not to sink in. I have been using the purple seat cushion for years. I am on my bottom every hour of the day except for when I get into bed. I have absolutely no pain. At least you can do weight shifting with both of your arms, but that just lets you know that even without shifting any of my weight, that the seat cushion I am referring to completely takes away all pressure. Look into it. It's extremely comfortable and very affordable. It's the company that makes the mattresses too. That purple company.
Watching your TH-cam video addressing a pressure wound is truly courageous. It must be challenging to edit videos while managing your injury. As you tend to your wound, it's crucial to monitor other areas like your tailbone and other butt cheek. Being paralyzed myself, I've found that having caregivers take photos of my skin twice daily keeps me well-informed about my body's changes. The most valuable advice I can offer is to refrain from putting pressure on the injury until it's completely healed, even if the process takes several months. Maintaining your positive attitude will help you along the road to recovery!
Please put moisturizer on your neck and top of your cleavage and then use the remaining moisturizer on the top of your hands! This is from an Esthetician. You are beautiful.

Syd , so sorry for your set back of your pressure sores, I know what you're going through, I used to have pressure sores years ago, until I got a new cushion on my chair , and I haven't gotten a pressure sore , since I was in 10th grade in 1990, and I have a gel cushion, but it only last for at least 5 years, because the gel will turn to powder!! I have a great cushion on my chair now, I hope that you have a great cushion on your chair, and I hope that you have a great and safe recovery from your pressure sores!!! What does your tattoo say? What meeting? Can they not do it over zoom if possible?! They should definitely be willing to be flexible & understanding, but I understand if it had to be an in person sit down meeting. Just would be nice to have the option to be able to do it from bed with your legs elevated pressure off your butt like you explained before. You should figure out how to do make up from in bed also or just not do it cause no one needs it I just feel that is a waste of extra time spent on your behind instead of resting it in bed!

People many years older who are trained and paid to be carers fail consistently to keep pressure sores at bay, it's a total thing. My neighbour Ivy who is like 86 or something has to enlighten carers daily about how essential for her husband it is to prevent sores instead of trying to deal with them. Ivy on her own kept her Harry free from pressure sores for approx. 16 years, which is flipping epic imho. Also, your college friend applying for housing, she is a friend for life. I hope your set back remains minimal but cos luck and life are weird I will even try a little prayer for you. Best wishes and hope you can sit comfortably soon, from Blackpool, UK. I am so sorry for the set back! Having a mild set back from my surgery recovery this week too. I feel like it would not be a typical ER visit if there was not at least one person in custody causing a raucous and screaming lol my usual hospital's ER is a level 1 trauma center so there is always some really crazy stuff. I hope you are starting to feel a bit better - keeping you in thoughts and prayers!
I can relate to the crazies and mentally ill and people who show up to the hospital who are just hungry. The hungry people get irate and just want a sandwich and drinks. The police give them a sandwich if they have it but if they are out of food or the type of food that the homeless want they can get violent and they scare the shite out of me. You are stuck on a gurney so it can be uncomfortable when people are out of control and you can’t just bail to a safe space. Glad your girlfriend’s treat you like the rest of the crew. Feel better!
being wheeled off to surgery in your bed is the perfect time to be like "HEY YALLLL WHATS UPPPP" and do the weirdest shit. i had an endoscopy about a month and a half ago and when i got wheeled off to the operation room by the anesthesiologist, i was pretending to use "powers" to open the doors while the anesthesiologist, bless him, was pushing the bed with all his strength (i'm 14, born female and not heavy at all lol) praying for you!!

Those first Drs who sent you home is pretty unbelievable. I find that VERY upsetting and unacceptable. My dad was in a situation some years ago when he had back pain and thank God his VA Dr ran tests and found out he had osteomyelitis and he was hospitalized immediately! I think your followers are definitely angry on your behalf that the mass/infection was missed!! God bless and let us hope and pray that no one gets missed!!! Any time that you are returning back is get yourself checked out by a doctor and have blood work done with the many viruses you can get even sicker worse. Colleges have medium medical services you need to go to the hospital and see a doctor .
I hope you are doing better now. I just found your channel but wanted to know if you have considered getting a service dog? This could be beneficial for picking up dropped items and such :)
❤ maybe look into Canine Companions? (Formerly known as canine companions for independence) they place mobility service dogs and they are free! I don’t think the wait is very long either, maybe a year or two at most :)

I finally found a great holistic Dr who helped my immune system get back on track. It was literally life changing. Praying for you!
