Comparisons will always happen. History will always be compared to the present. But no woman married to royalty even remotely compares to Diana. Kate Middleton is a plain bore, Meghan Markle is a thirsty hussy like no other, camilla gets compared to horses more than she gets compared to Diana, Princess Mary looks more manlier than her husband, and the only European I would consider is Sophia but she’s had her naked body plastered all over the internet. @SecretCommie Yes , and not just about royalty . If we look today's fashion compared to the past , we can say our generation is bore . But minimalism is the new trend. It can be seen in the fashion houses and how everything is influenced. Every decade has its own essence n style irrespective of people's choices for style. One can be better than the other only in one part .

She looked so amazing. I remember when that happened. The affair with Camilla had come out and everyone expected Diana to hide away in shame. Instead she stepped out with her head held high, looking like a million dollars. She was glowing. I think the whole world collectively tipped their hat to her for how well she played the hand that was dealt to her. She walked away with her dignity in tact.

She was one of the reasons the 90s were such a magical time to be alive. As a little girl watching Disney princesses in movies I could also look at magazines or newspapers and see a real life fairy tale princess 😍
My memory is different. Fairy tale princesses are happy or at least they are happy at the end of the fairytale. We all could see that Diana was a haunted, suffering woman. It was not nice to see. She gave us the lesson that real life isn't a fairytale at all.

The reason why I think people were impressed by her was because she had a incredible taste is fashion when it wasn't expected from her (being a princess and not a model), even when she went to leave her son to the school she looked marvelous, I don't think anyone would have recommended her to do that, she might have chosen to wear that dress on her own, therefore the originality.

This lovely video showcases Diana's wonderful, ingenuine style, but l would like to also bring to light her special heart.
No matter what Diana did, she wasn't focused on looking "royal". Her heart shone through her every action, and that is what gave her a very rare, beautiful, quiet glow that touched everyone around her. She was treated horribly, but she didn't let that keep her from caring for her beloved children and doing her daily engagements with a lovely smile. She was always so humble, down to earth and kind. Everyone just simply gravitated toward her. That was what gave her her magic. She was really a strong woman, and a good example to all of us. Her impact was so great that even now we still talk with love and admiration about "our darling, darling Diana". She was the real princess, and truly the queen of our hearts.
As for the marriage, l agree wholeheartedly that it was horrible, oh, just horrible. But l truly believe that our Diana would have wanted us to support Charles, as he is soon to be king. We cannot ignore the fact that he treated her horribly, and that there is absolutely no excuse for him to do that.
But there is no use trashing him with hateful words and insults. All we can do is to give him our love and support (though l agree, it is VERY hard) in hopes that he will turn from his ways and become a better person and king when he is crowned. At least we will have done our part in helping him become a better person.
Lets not linger on the marriage and just enjoy Diana's wonderful legacy!
