I'm 44, losing my hair, going gray, eyesight sucks and am about to become a grandfather but when I hear this I am instantly back to a junior in high school hanging out with friends at Kmart smelling the fresh popcorn, listening to the Blue Light Special announcements over the loudspeaker system. Music is the only thing that keeps me young these days.
What happen to those days?
I hear u man, I will be 44 in 5 months💯
Jason C Most definitely. Music had healing abilities and our brother Bob Marley knew this.
T Slap 😂
Same here and I AM 50 even my kids love this song!!!!passing down the generation of listen to this type of music👌👌👍👍
As a 45 year old man..i just wanna say GOD BLESS THE 90S

As a 40 y.o woman, i really want to go back to this time 😔
Yeah brother...good times. No fake stuff. Natural beauty. Barely any makeup.

RIP Tony Thompson!! Such an incredible voice!!
Him and Dino from H-Town were a couple of my favorites!!
Anthony Ulysses Thompson, Jr. was an American singer-songwriter. Thompson was best known as the lead vocalist of the American R&B quintet Hi-Five, which had hit singles such as "I Like the Way" and "I Can't Wait Another Minute".
Living their dream
But turned into a dang nightmare. RIP Tony,… hurts
He truly gave it his all at the end of this song, I always have to go back and reply the end a few times
It truly does hurt @@Laniece4u2

But the Messie come to us right now this weeknd
You're right about that.
I grew up 60, 70, 80, 90and 20 but heart is still old school like this song 🎵
We took it for granted and thought that the good music vibes would last.
Love the way we dress
I'm 39 my older brother was 8 years older and passed away few yrs ago. This was one of his jams. He guided my music taste. He was my biggest influence in my life! He was a musical encyclopedia. He had a mass knowledge of music 🎶 I miss him and miss the early 90s music he would drive me around in his car listening to. R.I.P PETE.

@@SweetnLo02 Yes, I definitely understand where you're coming from!! That's good you had friends that shared the same musical ears as you, but I loved creating my own mixes cause I'm diverse in my musical tastes, which carried over to recording music onto blank CDs..I'm holding on to my great CD collection as well LOL!! Thank you for your advice on finding a legit cassette player cause I hadn't been looking until now.

I can't believe this song is nearly 30 years old. Hey, this song never gets old. It has that great vibe of what life was in the 90s.

I try not to comment but it made me fng sad by listening to it. it's like you are forced to hop on a time slide when you were having a good time with friends and family at the time.

You want to talk about Trails and tribulations. This group had one of the sorriest stories in Unsung history, right next to Tammi terrell and Debarge. Russell's brother also killed his wife
Are you serious???? I didn't know that, all I knew about was Tony
Nina Marshell it’s Tony
If we had TH-cam back in 1991 this would have 1B views, this song is a cornerstone of 90s R&B
Today is the 30 year anniversary of the debut of my favorite song ever!!!!!!! Rip Tony 🌹
People better be listening in 2020!
Rest in Power Tony Thompson!!🙏🙏🙏🙏 And them dimples though!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
87 baby ahhhhh i just made the cut so happy and blessed to have experienced such divinity in this era of black unity/love, especially the energy of music when 97/98 hit things went on a slowww decline and once 2000 hit the decline excellerated, by 2005 high school graduation music died off
87 here also!
R.I.P. Tony!!! His solo CD was dope!!!!!
This is pure nostalgia for me. I listened to this all the time as a child. When I hear it now, I wanna cry sometimes. I miss those days.😢
I rap groups n music was boss in the 90s as well still listen too the music now a days is pure crap!
I grew up on this music when I was a teenager
I do agree with you bro!!
Funny, feel like crying myself sometimes....
2020..crying because I miss this music..and realize how old I'm getting 🤣
The age of innocence!
What we didn’t realize is that you can never get that time back.
Sad to know that this era has passed. I truly miss it.
Hearing this song takes me back to an exact moment in time.
I love it.
This is my type of music and it will forever live on through me.
In that era, the most prohibited thing was to play the drunk bottle, but now it's just pure aberrations. I also miss those innocent times.
Tony's story reminds me of Frankie Lymon. Thinking about him lately has had me deep in my feelings. R.I.P. Lil Tony
I lived in the same apartments he died at and at the same time. Tragic. All I could hear is people talking about how he died but I was around 11 or 12 and didn't know much about the impact Hi-5ive had at the time. Sad 😥.
R.i.p tony, you were hi-five! His voice always stood out to me ,he was of those guy singers from the 90s i would try to sing like many others .
RIP Roderick “Pooh” Clark. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. ❤️
I got to enjoy the late 60's-70's-80's-etc all the good music 🎵🎶🎵
