This game gave me a DUMP of nostalgia, I used to play with the toys and watch the cartoons, I even had all the movies, cartoon ones ofc... I miss being a little kid man😔😔
Dam how long has it been since a GI Joe came out, game I’m pretty sure half of these kid today don’t know this show. I remember this show and the spin off of it I loved it as a kid.
I dunno, dude, Keith Silverstein isn't TOO bad as Cobra Commander. I don't blame you on wanting Charlie Adler from Resolute and Renegades or Robert Baker from Retaliation back as him, but Keith Silverstein has his own charm with Cobra Commander.
I saw that game to, and ironically, it reminded me somewhat of G.I. Joe. Well, that and Agent of SHIELD. I suppose A.O.M. could've taken some inspiration from a bit of each.
1. Whatever happened to organization? Playing both sides gives a person a headache. You know? 2. Is the cliff hanger in the end really necessary hasbro?
Yeah, this Cobra Commander's voice does a fine job of duplicating Latta's "scheming" voice, but I don't think anyone who's done the role since has quite gotten that "Cobraaaaaaa~!" scream down. Kind of like how for decades when they wanted to have a Tarzan yell they had to dub over whoever was playing Tarzan with the classic yell.
@@SSobotkaJr Hahah. And people sometimes forget that for all his silliness, that Cobra Commander still had his genuinely threatening moments. Like the time he lifted some movie director or something with one hand and threw him aside.
I can give you that. The action was cool, the gameplay was fun, and the story was certainly interesting. The dialogue though, definitely not the best. I mean, not eye bleed inducing, at least not for me. But they could have definitely done better. They could've hired better voice actors to.
@@benjaminfeld6388 They were hit-and-miss on several of the character VAs. Storm Shadow, Lady Jaye, Duke, Major Bludd and Baroness were pretty close to their original Voices in the animated series. Destro, Scarlett, Road Block and Cobra Commander were not even close. Dialog however was pretty spot on for the Joe's series. You had to have grown up watching the original mini series and full animated series to appreciate this fact.
You guys always do good work, but this game looks like garbage. G.I. Joe has like 300 characters, yet they always default back to Snake Eyes and Stormshadow.
That was the problem with a T.V. series being used to tout toys. Hasbro would come up with new and different soldiers to fill the Joe and Cobra "ranks"; and somehow the series had to highlight each new character. Some were worth it -- like Lady Jaye, Shipwreck, the Dredknoks, etc. -- but after a while it gets hard to keep up with all the different characters. It's partially why in the Marvel comics series, they killed off a good number of the Joes in a massive battle for "The Pitt". Only to create a new slew of characters afterwards. Also, they dedicated an entire, overreaching arc to Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, which also revealed the whole history of the Hard Master's clan of ninja. So, it's easy to see how those characters are often the "go-to" of the Joes for any game or story.
It's kind of the same problem both Marvel and DC have with characters like Wolverine and Batman. There are a lot of X-Men characters, but you can bet that Wolverine will almost always be a key character somehow. Likewise, DC has several other 'detective' characters like the Question, but they'll always trot out Batman because he is 'teh best'. You can understand something like that with Optimus Prime and Megatron, since as faction leaders they'll definitely be important, but at least in, say, Transformers comics less prominent characters often had their turn to shine.
The game wasn't great.... but we hope you enjoy the game movie! Remember to like, comment and share!

No offense but as a 2000's kid? I would've known that 80's cartoon if it's fanbase wasn't infested by toxic elitists.
they should've used the Cobra Commander voice from either Resolute, Renegades, or even Retaliation.
Yes i agree and the voice actor from resolute is the same in renegades. i like both voice actors.
The cobra commander voice has the same voice as the GLA Recycler Truck 😂😂

With how there are 2 characters in each level, can you choose between which of the 2 to play?
That would be so cool
Does Flint ever show up? I didn't see him anywhere in the background
Joey:"GI Joe! Can I play?"
Thanks
A lot of action and that show is my favorite thing toys are very 😎
This is like Transformers: War for Cybertron.

It may have not been a good game but the story was interesting and the gameplay as well, well only to me that is.
Looks ok. Definitely worth a try.
It doesn't surpass the fun of Konami's arcade games from the 1990s. It's a shame that they can't use such good material.
Nice
Thanks for watching!
well, its better than the movie
The voice of the cobra commander reminds me a lot with the GLA Recycler Truck, maybe it is the same VA?
awesome game
Gotta say kinda like this Cobra Commander voice. Though I still miss Chris Latta's "cobra" scream... Just had more omph
Latta's shriek-take on Cobra Commander was the best. I miss his panicked reactions to defeat.

Did they get like the newest people that just came out of voice acting school? wtf
Oh good god, they're not the same people that created the game Agents of Mayhem right? the art style and gameplay is similar.
