For the thumbnail one, you can use so many to get it. IBJ, Phase Shift Wall Jumping, Speed Booster, Spin Boost, and Space Jump are all options that I know of and there are probably more. The beauty of this game is the insane amount of different ways to play it.
I don't get how the last few tricks are alternative methods. You shine spark at the same spot. The wall jumping is superfluous, as there are no obstacles. The alternative routes also do not allow or accommodate sequence breaking, as far as I can tell. The earlier tricks showcased paths that do not require certain abilities or which may be more consistent for players that prefer standing vs. mid-air shine sparking. I don't get the point of some of these.
I love how like 50% of these alternate methods are just speed booster strats of varying absurdity. It truly is the most OP ability in terms of movement and offense, but is balanced by how tricky it generally is to pull off... Especially if you don’t know the hidden tricks beforehand or ways to set yourself up.
If you have a know-it-all friend who has already played the game through the standard way, you could pretend to be new, then ignore all their instructions about how to do things and just do the most ridiculous alternatives.
@@Moitavochuy All those items where you might think "it's impossible to do that without pinball speedbooster" have an alternative method, though it is usally much tighter on the timing and/or requires recharging the speedbooster on a slope. The most tight timing is probably the +10 Missile Tank in Ferenia where you need pretty much perfect timing.

You should show off getting the missile tank in the room underneath where you get the Space Jump. Standard Method to get that tank is to Power Bomb and space jump your way there. Alternative method is to use a Speed Boost, charge, morph ball jump, cross bomb, drop to the level below, then shinespark up the shaft. It’s also a technically sequence break for the Space Jump that’s useful if you wanna make quick work of the Storm Missile Boss (assuming you have the Screw Attack already, which requires sequence breaking to get the Gravity Suit early).
Well when it comes to Mercury Steam in particular when it comes to this game, I'm pretty sure they're sitting in their offices menacingly saying "Just as planned..."
It is unbeliavable how good this game can be, specially when you have a Super Metroid on your resume, and with games having more focus on strategies to make money than having a good quality.

i love how this game was designed with shine spark in mind, in previous games it was a hidden trick used for a few extra item puzzles and a couple speed run tactics but i think this might be the first game that actually straight up tells the player its a feature from the start and not only encourges it for progression but uses it in new unique methods like with wall jumping and even secret boss tactics
9:30 I didn't know you could do the whole store kinetic energy thing, I ran from the room to the right and just jumped at the right time to break the blocks lol. Also because I was jumping I didn't have enough time to charge the dash I had to start running like two rooms to the right, time a jump right to be able to jump from the cliff so the dash didn't stop and also time shooting the door so I don't stop lmao
2:01 the legit method requires you to use storm missiles to open the dingus, charge a shinespark using one of the burenia sucky enemies and running to shine into the blovks

There's a power bomb expansion in Elun that is easily accessible with intended items as well, and I got that on my first playthrough.

There is one item that required constant use of Shinespark Cancel in other to get it. And probably one of the most infamous puzzle of the game by far.
