Taylor's right that having a dad keeps you out of trouble. It might be politically incorrect to say it, but it's true. Statistics show that having a father figure at home is the biggest factor in preventing going to prison (& that's for ALL races). It also reduces teen pregnancy. That's just the statistics, though. There are many examples of kids from single-parent family who grow up to be super successful
What reduces teen pregnancy is sex education. And it doesn’t have to be a father, it could simply be a household with two parents and even then that’s because two parents=more income which means overall a better life for the child.
