This is the song that many in the recording industry believe led to the raggaeton craze of the late 90's. It's amazing how ahead of the pack Selena and A.B. were - like, YEARS ahead!
It did because reggaeton has been around but no other artist prevealed in the 90s. I believe that when Selena traveled to NYC with the Barrio Boyzz, they should their music to Selena. Also I believe this went international due to the fact that tjis track was on the dreaming of you album.
mm because the regeton comes from reggae town, from jamica that's what they called genres like regga mufin Dancehall etc, AB Quinranilla always likes to mix, merge genres like Funck and R&B With cumbia, there it looks like Selena doesn't Rapping is not her thing, she just couldn't, that's why Cris says that others better do it and of course he wouldn't do it because of his metal pride hahaha
Wow! " Techno Cumbia " is an awesome song and it's nice to see the behind the scenes aspects of the production of the song. It does seem like it was a challenging song for Selena to sing, especially with the opening soft fast Spanish parts and the middle break down of the song of the guys part but overall Selena and A.B turn it into a masterpiece. I love the production quality of the song on the " Dreaming Of You " album better, they remix it and seem they added a little Jamaican flavor to it.
