Nice track, good racing, love the old gassers. Started in drag racing in 1961. During that time I have learned that during the actual race, announcers should respect the wonderful high winding sound these race cars make, let the viewers appreciate it, and DO NOT SPEAK until the cars cross the finish line. Surely they can shut up for just a few seconds and let the race cars do the talkin’!

Yes. I'm thinking about a Rambler build and keeping SEGA in mind. Any of the set-up info would be great. Seems the unit-body would offer weight savings and some stiffness, but front end and attachment points seem to be a question ... And power? AMC motor or other? Quain got back to me on AMC motor info and possible use of Indy heads, so pondering that ...
Why don’t the southeast company use 1/4 mile tracks..1/8 of a mile doesn’t show what these cars are really made of...that’s my opinion..I love watching Gassers race more than funny cars or pro mod cars..and Gassers are way better looking..just saying
Tony we would love to but most all the small mom and pa tracks in the Southeast are 1/8 mile. There are not many 1/4 tracks left anywhere except the big NHRA super tracks. Insurance company's about put the little tracks out of business, They went to 1/8 mile years ago to be able to afford the insurance. Also some don't have enough stopping room with the speeds the cars run today.
