    I’m so happy I found your video! I saw a set at a quilt shop and they were $40!! Way out of my budget. Your tutorial is so helpful. I’m definitely subscribing to your channel.

    Great tutorial - just wish you didn't have the background music playing , but perhaps that just me. Thank you though for showing how to - great idea!

      Thanks for watching @papercents ! There's always a small percentage who hate background music even when it's at a low volume - so it's not just you! ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

    thank you!! I am looking for a similar video and maybe you can help! My friend had a cute slap bracelet that had rhinstone elastic on one side and flannel on the back! I want to make that but don't have directions. Maybe I can use this video to help with that.

      I haven't seen a video with the bracelet you described, but the method I used in this video would work to make something similar. You might prefer to cover a purchased slap band for a bracelet since they "snap" better than the DIY ones made from a tape measure.

    Genius! I need this so bad! I actually don’t buy more types of stabilizer because I can’t keep them straight. Thank you!

      That is so awesome! You may not need many types of stabilizer, but I like to experiment for the TH-cam channel and you might be doing the same. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) I just subscribed to your quilting channel @bobbinwithbrittany

    Love this, you're awesome! I liked the pre-made ones when I saw them, but the labels didn't match what is in my stash (and how my brain categorizes my things!) so that wasn't going to work for me. This is perfect, thanks! And great safety note! Yes, people, please DO wear gloves when cutting this thin metal. Better to do that for just a few minutes than to have to nurse a bad cut (or worse) for weeks and not finish your projects ;)

      Thanks Stephanie! And you're right, the gloves are important and I feel kinda guilty for not wearing them in the video. That tape measure is sharp and unruly. (no pun intended)

    Good afternoon Lucy.. what a wonderful video! I would have never thought of cutting apart a measuring tape! Great project to do with scrap strips too if you don't mind if they all match or not. I have alot of scraps lately from mug rugs I will use and watch Ballyhoo Creations videos on youtube while rolling them the other way. You have the BEST videos on here. I always learn so much from your videos and great ideas! Thank you for sharing & have an amazing week!

    This is brilliant!! I would’ve never thought of using pieces of a tape measure to make slap bands…love this idea 😍

    Great idea!!! I’m thinking stich-witchery iron on tape would also work to secure the fabric to the band instead of sewing or hot glue. Love these! ❤

      Great idea! Fusible tape or even a full backing of heat&bond might be a good alternative. I'll ❤️your comment so hopefully other people will see it.

    Great idea! I was always told to keep stabilizer in a bag. Guess you don’t worry about that.

    • @BallyhooCreations
      @BallyhooCreations  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! Only the water soluble stabilizers need protection in a bag or container. I talk about that in my stabilizer storage video if you haven't seen that one yet. th-cam.com/video/MaIPJcyQJOY/w-d-xo.html
