I like The Celestial Toymaker
I was a bit worried about the animation from the trailer but I was actually impressed by it as the story went on and I was absorbed into the story and the non likeness of some characters didn't bother me. I loved how they went full abstract and surrealist with the animation. Always been a fave story of mine ever since I read the Target Novel of it as a kid.
This is how the Giggle should of been like abstract and surrealist as the Toymaker does come across as a true force to reckon with compared to The Giggle Toymaker.

I liked the animation, what's wrong with it? It's better than most.
I've never really gotten the legendary status this has with fans. I watched the reconstructions of it a few years back and just found it a bad story in general. Of course, everyone is allowed to like what they want so I'm going to check out the animation and it may change my mind.
I got this for my birthday on the 9 of June and I love the story and great reviews ben 🎉
For the most part, I think that the animation is excellect. The downside is the character likeness, especially the Doctor. Enjoyed the story overall, and Im just happy to have another classic story on my shelf.
I much prefer the black and white version of the animation.
Are the surviving episodes including in the releases of serials that have been animated? Like with episode 4 of this or episode 3 of The Web of Fear etc.
I liked the animation. Not my favourite but quite a good fit for this story. I only watched the B&W version so far. The tech has certainly improved from Web of Fear. Agree, the likenesses could be better, i think the problimight come from the shadows being baked in.
The story was always going to suffer from being Doctor light, but Hartnell needed that rest, bless him.
Nice to see Bernice Summer field getting some recognition in the features!

Having seen the trailers I went into this thinking I probably wasn’t going to like the animation but having watched it over the last couple of days I absolutely love it. The stylistic choices work perfectly for the story and enhance the story for me, making the games that looked a bit lame on screen look like they are truly dangerous.
I enjoyed it.
