At 1:30 why the car doesn't start as it should: You have to preheat a Diesel - mostly and also with the Dacia Duster Dci: turning the Key to the second position, leave it there until the yellow spring-like light turns off and then start the engine - it will start instantl! :) The spot at 3:10 is one of my best memories to Iceland...we started to drive to hella but the weather got too bad, so we decided to call it a day and wait at this spot for the Aurora. While waiting we helped a couple out of the snow, 'cause they got stuck while wanted to leave that place after waiting for around 90 minutes (we happily was there an hour before, got stuck at the same place but with more light, so we could help them to get out easily and could told them which spot they should avoid there) However, they left, we got back to hour car and in exactly that moment, the Aurora started...the Lights were mirrored in that small lake and we got beautiful pictures with that Waterfall, Water/ice Lake and the lights above. Did you also visited the "Welcome Holiday Homes"? It's also an incredible spot as well for sleeping, but also for taking incredible Pictures without driving one meter! :D Nice Video! :)
Thanks for this terrific, fun, interesting video. You guys are always very entertaining. Next time explore the Caribbean…Iceland in winter is way too chill for me, and not in a good way…
@BonanzaRoad Hey Jeff, we have ‘Buy me a coffee’ which is the same, we are currently working on building it up to post some content on there :) buymeacoffee.com/joelfriendy
The storms were crazy!! I am not made for that much cold. Thank you for braving the storms and sharing. I enjoy your positive outlook and energy, I know travel can sometimes be rough. You guyd look like you have a lot of fun. Keep up the great work. I look forward to the next adventure, hopefully someplace warmer.
Ahaha that will be quite a dramatic change in weather! I hope it won’t be quite this bad weather! It should improve by march I would have thought! Have the best time in Iceland it’s so beautiful!
You said all those ice caves change constantly. But to what extent, you didn't mention. I was in iceland just 5 months after you, and that perfect circle shape had it's top part missing and broke into two separate mountains, and the long tunnel you went through completely collapsed. Also really amazing to see how different iceland is during the seasons. In summer, it was very, very different. And the myrdalsjökull, under which katla is, was, at least at the beginning where the caves are, completely black. BEcause of ashes, that were spilled when katla erupted over time.
I`m traveling in Iceland since long before you guys were even born......so believe me, it is quit normal to have snowy weather conditions like this in Wintertime......and by the way.....this Land also has it in its Name ICE_-LAND......and you guys were just at the coast area.....use your imagination to think about it, how it will turn out to be in the inner part of the HIghlands of Iceland......that will be something totally different......but is so much fun and awesome as well ! I`ll be up in Iceland next month for a 360km Solo Hike from the North Coast Line at Akureyri crossing the inner part of Iceland ( named Sprengiasandur Stone and Lava Desert) and ending up the last week doing the Laugavegur Hike ( hopefully mostly empty of other people and last but not least the Fimmvörduhals Glacier Pass that will end up right by the Skogafoss itself. Maybe you guys were going up the small stairways path to the Top of the Skogarfoss Platform......then you could follow the path even further up the Mountain for around the next 10km till you reach the pass itself......and then 17km more down again to Thorsmörk. It is very lovely Hike in Summer. But in Winter it is wisely closed to the normal public Tourism and should only be done when you are in a guided Group or you are a VERY VERY EXPERIANCED Hiker with Mountaineering skills and the right Equipment. I was once Snowshoeing it and came in a situation at the top of Fimmförduhals in late Winter Season, what is called TOTAL WHITEOUT......you couldn`t even see more then 3-4 foot away.....and desperately need very precise GPS coordinates in this kind of situation to make it, otherwise you are even unable to walk in a straight line for more then just 10 meters. So Wintertime in Iceland could be something vry special, if you like a lot of Snow and freezing Winds blowing all the time. Cheers

England is definitely not cold, it felt like we were in the tropics when we got back to the UK 😂

Great video guys. I'm headed to Iceland in April. I hope the weather is s little warmer. I'm looking forward to your next trips :)
Aww yes mate, you're going to love it, such a beautiful country! Off to South America in a week so that should bring some exciting videos :)
Great video❤ im planning to go in December hope it not as snowy 😅
What a nice, relaxing place to go for a vacation
😂😂
haha you've got that right!
The way you rammed that key into your poor Diesel car gave me enough anxiety for a whole week. You are supposed to pre-heat the engine.
The sentence “drive it like a rental” comes from what actually happens to rentals….
The waterfall at 3:21 - where is that one? Looks like a nice place to visit. Cheers!
What time of the year was this? Planning a trip to Iceland at the beginning of February.
The craziest experience ever 😂
It really was, a change to the tropics 🌴
I was there this past September. Yeah it was much better lmao.. hitting up the Scottish highlands next month.
That is a sick jacket mate, where did you get that from? :)
Which month was this in?
Which month were you there?
😂 Carry on guys
Ahaha we had to keep going! Thanks for watching ☺️
What month was this?
This was in January :)
