I agree, the last pegasus I used was the 35. Didn’t enjoy the 36, then switched to the Invincible Run which made the pegasus lineup obsolete. Now I’m running and enjoying Hoka
Asics Nimbus 24 and 25s are amazing, also asics Novablast 3, Superblasts etc. in general Asics has a very good comfortable lineup that blows away what Nike offers.
I ordered a pair of 39,s and were comfy and light while trying on indoors but noticed a defect on the insert being loose so returned them, the replacement pair was sent and the one shoe had slight snags in the stitching, so again returned..I didnt risk a 3rd, I have never had a problem with Nike quality before or since as purchased the infinity run flynit 3 instead and they were great so I haven't the pleasure of the 39,s outdoors yet.
I have the peg 38 and quickly relegated them to a gym shoe and short shuffles for all the reasons you’ve mentioned. BUT they’ve now come into their own as a spring / summer trail shoe. Now that the trails are dry I’m finding them great - almost a stripped back racing version of the peg trail. The grip is great as you say and the slab of react foam acts like a rock plate. I may get the peg 39 just for this and forget road running in them.
Interesting to hear your thoughts on the pegasus 39s. Tempted to try the puma velocity or the new balance even the sketchers if I can get my hands on them fab video. I hope you enjoyed your subway
I actually like the 39, they fit well and I like the two air pockets. Didn’t run in the other shoes u mention though. Only can compare them with brooks ghost 13 and other Nikes. But i personally like the react foam, it’s comfortable but not too squishy (like zoomx).
Just dropping by to say hi Chris. Still recovering from a knee injury and miss running. I see my doctor Tuesday. I think time and rest will heal it. All the best.
i think its because the front forefoot zoom air is pretty small in this one vs the one in the 37/38 versions which had a huge front zoom air unit in the forefoot
I actually thought Nike might be bringing a new Pegasus this year. One with a different midsole. React is alright but it’s boring compared to the nitro foam, fuelcell and fresh foam. I will do what I do every year wait for my birthday discount. They are stuck in 1987 like another shoe manufacturer!🤣
Fordy, thanks for older video about choosing Endorphine Speed for halfmarathon. Ran a 5 min 19 sec better PB in a race in them yesterday with pretty awful winds. Could maybe have been 6-7 minuts. What a shoe! Decided about the shoe same day after seeing that video. I must listen to Fordy I thought! 😆👍
Where the hell are these on the US website? I cant find them. I know they are available on the nike UK website. Still waiting for them to become available in the US. I heard April 28th was supposed to be the day but that has come and gone.
That colourway looks awful? Black and white is pretty sharp imo. I had my suspicions about react foam and long runs. Thanks for saving me from finding out myself.

Jogging in Pegasus 39 gave me sore ankles. Replaced them with the Nike Structure 24 and problems solved. Much better running shoes imo.

Puma is better value
Are the Asics Cumulus 24 superior to these?
yes, and Nimbus 24 and 25 even more so.

If it works for you then happy days!
How do they do for faster paces?
Will get some of these when I get my birthday discount in July. But not rushing to get out and get some at full price
Hello! which do u recommend on running also for everyday wear like outfit like that, ultra boost 22 or nike pegasus 39?
Did you do 20 miles fresh out the box or did you do a few shorter runs to break them in?
Just dropping by to say hi Chris. Still recovering from a knee injury and miss running. I see my doctor Tuesday. I think time and rest will heal it. All the best.
Hope you get well soon

How long did it take to break the Pegasus 39s in?

🤣🤣🤣🤣
I agree about the react foam. 🙌
I think next version will be the one to change the overall design and update the foam tecnology, as it will be the 40th iteration
Have you tried ASICS flight foam too?

This shoe has been made redundant by the Puma Velocity Nitro. You have to be a ardent Nike fan to buy this out dated shoe.
True
@@FordyRuns could you compare cumulus 24?

Time for a haircut pal 😂
Soon 🤣
Do you buy pegasus 36?
Nah
