Anthrax is different from the other big 3 because they're the only band from the East Coast and have an obvious New York punk influence in their music. They also helped pioneer rap metal with their songs I'm the Man and Bring the Noise.
"Oh my goodness!" - That has to be my favorite reaction to an Anthrax song. I first discovered Anthrax when the album that this song is on came out. I was in the 9th grade. Been a fan ever since (almost 35 years!).
Girls welcome to thrash or speed metal. Most people including the bands that played this style say Iron Maiden's Powerslave was a huge influence. Bands like Anthrax, Metallica and Megadeth all played faster and louder during this phase. A bunch of other bands soon sprouted up playing the same style. Great reaction and welcome to a new rabbit hole you can dive into. :) Chris
Hell yeah! Old-school Thrash that still had a lot of it's Punk roots type flavor to it...great stuff. A personal favorite since this stuff popped in the early eighties. You girls continue to impress. "Skeletons in the Closet" is a ripper...the live vid from Japan. A bit of Overkill is very much in order as well..."Skull-crusher/Playing With Spiders" (if I haven't got it backwards lol). If you dig the grind of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs," you'll LOVE that one.
It's refreshing to see you young ladies appreciate this type of music as much as I do. I grew up with this stuff and never stopped loving it and never will. Metal music makes me happy. You'll want to check out "Among the Living", "Indians", "N.F.L." and "A.I.R." by Anthrax.
Been listening to them ever since they started. Now I live in the same town as the singer, Joey Belladonna. We have tons of mutual friends (some of them guys who have played in his bands, who I've played music with myself), and I've talked to him a few times. He has a classic rock cover band he plays drums and sings in, Chief Big Way. They just play regular clubs in the area, and even played at one of my high school reunions. Really nice guy.
Great reaction girls! Finally some Anthrax representing New York city this band always goes all out and are amazing live you have to see Scott Ian go crazy on stage there are many great bands from NYC i will send you a suggestion soon ... great job ladies Sonia sends you hugs and the 46 squad salutes you always
Scott Ian and ex-Anthrax bassist Dan Lilker along with drummer Charlie Benante and Nuclear Assault singer Billy Milano founded the satire death metal band Stormtroopers Of Death. They often jam together along with other metal musicians on Charlie's TH-cam channel. He recently uploaded a group jam of Speak Spanish Or Die, a twist on their song Speak English Or Die. Frank Bello took over as bassist from Dan on their second album Spreading The Disease, Joey Belladonna took over vocals from John Bush on this album as well.
Finally Anthrax! Since you liked this song I would suggest Gung-Ho also by Anthrax, it's like Caught in a Mosh but amped to 11, the speed, the vocals, the guitars, I think you will like it too.
@@fft9917 I was shocked when I heard that album for the frist time, i have heard their debut and expected something similar, but Spreading the Disease was so much better than I expected.
One of the mythical Big Four, Thrash metal bands. One of my all times favorites songs for sure. I love it 🤘🏻 pure old school heavy metal! Love Joey Belladona’s voice 🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻
I've loved Anthrax since the 80's, it's great that people are still discovering them. Fun fact about the lead guitarist, Danny Spitz, he left the band for a while to train and work as a luxury Swiss watchmaker. He has a degree in micro-mechanical engineering.
React to more Anthrax: Indians, Madhouse, Medusa, Got The Time, Among The Living, A Sketelon In The Closet, Antisocial, Be All End All, In The End, A.I.R., Deathrider & Gung-Ho. Soon or later.
Go see them live, saw them up here in Minneapolis last summer with B.L.S. and Hatebreed and they were definitely the band everyone came to see. Fan for 35 year's. Mosh it up!!🤟🤟
Thank you both very much for playing some anthrax, awesome band, one of my favorite songs is called"Medusa ", it's about the mythological goddess Medusa. Super good song. Thank you again ladies. Sincerely Lorenzo gig harbor Washington
With the approach of another remembrance day, I wondered if you would like to react to "Shadow Soldiers " a beautiful very emotional song by a band called "Accept " ,they are very metal and the song really makes you think of the thousands of brave service men and women who gave their lives for us. I think you will be impressed! Keep up the good work, you two are a breath of fresh air!
This song is a story of a fan that told the band about having to go to the hospital after being hurt in the most pit and the nurse had no clue what that meant lol.
Una de las bandas más emocionantes y brutales en directo, gran elección. Os recomiendo IN THE END también de ellos. Muchas gracias y saludos desde Mallorca.
You guys just made my day I’ve been waiting for Anthrax glad you and Mia got a kick out of the band 9/10 Caught in a Mosh one of the greatest songs ever would do more Slayer if you would like 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
You should definitely try exodus! 1. Piranha 2. Children of a worthless god 3. Deathamphatamine 4. Blacklist 5. War is my shepherd. 6. The ballad of leonard and charles And please react to live only! They kick some serious ass!
Why didn't you talk about that insane bass line ? Early Anthrax songs like this have incredible bass runs, another suggestion considering this would be Lone Justice, another Anthrax favorite of mine.

Ladies, as has been said by none other than Tom Araya and James Hetfield..."Only" is about the perfect metal song. "Only" by Anthrax from the album 'Sound of White Noise.'
Rock on young ladies! This band was so much fun then and even better now!

That late 80's/early 90's thrash scene was great. So many awesome bands. I pretty much spent my youth at clubs for shows like this lol.
Time for some Exodus, Whiplash, & Sodom.
"Ooooo...they're playing faaaasst!"
Charlie: "Hold my beer...."
GUNG-HO !!!!
If you can listen to anthrax’s my fav “Indians” a great song about us native Americans.

Great song from Anthrax and there's nothing like the experience in a mosh pit when Anthrax is slammin' on stage!

Can’t wait for COVID to be over so we can see you two at actual shows. Would be interesting to check out Punk music which has a history of its own.
Honestly we can't wait to attend a show! It should be fun! And we would record what we can to share it with our TH-cam family!
