- My quest for a Shiny Safari Zone Chansey is completed... kind of. My ultimate goal for shiny hunting in these games is to catch the three rares in the Safari Zone but it will naturally take a while. I've decided to make some longer videos just as sheer entertainment for those who enjoy watching them. If you do, please let me know.

Sorry about some of the shinies without audio. I record on multiple audio tracks for each DS capture card but I think I reset the default to 1 by accident somehow. I unfortunately didn't notice this until editing some of these shinies many months later.

Don't know if you are interested, I've put together a playlist with over 1.100 videos of shiny hunting in 3rd Gen. Many different hunts, many different hunters. I like to watch this while hunting myself and it's long enough to get you through any hunt you're doing

Exeggcute is my only Safari Zone shiny ever from fire red, it’s now in my copy of Shield and over 15 years old

I did enjoy the whole video all the way through, watching this makes me really wanna go back to the FRLG Safari zone and smash through some phases for the chansey myself. Pretty amazing achievement to have even seen the 4% chansey in the Safari zone. GL on the potential cool stuff, maybe even tauros.

Seeing Chansey was wild holy crap!
I actually got a shiny Noctowl on Crystal this week when hunting for the Lucky Egg, and I got that item yesterday after a small operation in the hospital.
Best present ever after such a day hahaha.
I am now recovering and training Typhlosion for Stadium 2.

A nice trip to the safari zone that ended up great in my opinion. You may have not left it with one of the rarest finds but just seeing it live, must've gave motivation and confidence to keep trying in the future :) I enjoy watching these compilations because it gives me something to watch while I hunt myself. Gl on Chansey, Tauros & other rarest finds ;)

Shiny Nidoran male is so nice! I got one yesterday although it was an easy one that I got from Let's go Eevee. Transferred him to Sword. One of my all time favourite shinies
All I want is a Lucky Egg, not even a shiny Chansey, and still it's taken the better part of a week. 20 Chanseys found so far and none had the egg. Haven't seen a single shiny yet either. Can't even imagine going for shiny Chansey. You have the patience of a GOD.
I've been doing a lot of stuff in the crown tundra recently but seeing you doing these hunts has made me want to go back to my roamer Latios hunt. After getting Raikou I just fell in love with roamer hunts so I just have to say thank you for giving me the motivation to carry on with these older game hunts :)

I'm scared to hunt in the Safari zone because if a shiny flees, I Would never Touch pokemon again xD
My recommendation is to hunt a few low risk shinies to numb yourself a bit before you hunt a safari shiny. The thrill is so worth it.

Just remember if your shiny flee's, it happens to everyone at some point.

congrats on the shinies dude! it's unfortunate that the Chansey fled but hey, that's a very rare encounter and you have a video of it so that's fine. the only shinies that I got on all my playthroughs on FR/LG is a shiny Charmander, a shiny Nidoran(M) and a shiny Rattata, just sharing tho.
Please give me more long videos. I understand why most shiny vids are only a couple minutes but its always good to see a long vid. Keep it up

Btw I know you like to do full odds hunts, so do I. But dont you think that hunting on multiple screens kinda kills the purpose of full odds hunts?
Not at all. It's still 8192. Using more systems just allows you to do more encounters. The odds remain the same.
@@Sonikks In the newest generations for example shiny charms doubles the odds of finding shiny pokemons. What would be the difference between shiny hunting RE with charm (not counting masuda, chaining) in a single screen and hunting full odds with 2 screens? The average time to find a shiny would still be the same.
That's up to the individual to decide. Time is irrelevant because the base odds are what matters. The charm triples your chances in Gen 8, not double.
If you genuinely think that someone using 4 screens is lowering the odds, you need to understand that's not how probability or maths work. It's 1/8192.
I'd like to add, I don't think people do full odds because it takes longer. They do it because they prefer things at their full base rate & generally prefer the sprites over the lacklustre 3D models. I'm not sure I understand what time has to do with it.

We all praise chansey for being the hardest shiny to get in FRLG but the chart at the begging of the video says chansey has a 4% chance and Tauros has 1% chance idk why i compared i love tauros and in FRLG he looks so fluffingly cute (hes fluffy ok) but still congrats on the chansey keep making awesome content :)

I swear I have the worst luck with shinies. I think I’ve found only 1 wild shiny on my own. And I’ve Beaten every game, starting with gold. Even in Pokémon sword with the shiny charm, I still can Barely find any. Only a shiny dragonair and drifblim from max raid lair
Were you using some kind of cheat to get infinate safari time or were you just paying every time?
You reset if you don't mind a shiny and then reenter.
