I have a grand California stayed away for week .down side leisure battery. And the plugs only work if your plugged in to mains power ..but love the van.

THE SLIDING DOOR IS ON THE WRONG SIDE

The reason the sliding door is on wrong side. It’s a genuine VW factory built GC. That’s how they come out of the factory. Made in Germany. All other Crafter vans with door on nearside are van conversions.
