A dip in River Yamuna is said to protect one from untimely death. Devotees either walk or use pony to reach the temple.

The trek to yamunotri yatra is a 6 km which starts from janki chatti till yamunotri temple. Best Time To Visit is April to June and September to November.
Plenty of parking space is available in janki chatti for vehicles and many hotels and food options are also available in janki chatti.
