I’m am not sold on this particular trim for 85,000$ i understand that ford is trying to sell performance and technology but they have bad quality in technology for the price and V6 turbos with that type of power won’t last 8 years. This truck is priced 20,000 over what it should be.
We just got a 23 Limited with the big screen and towing package regular size and it is great! The Platinum nice but quite a bit more $$$ for not much useful features over ours.
Drove an expedition max 2023 in Florida couple days ago for 5 days we were there the expedition max definitely fit 8 people very comfortably with bench seats one thing I did notice the expedition doesn’t have the hold feature so I could take my foot off the breaks during traffic.
Definitely leaning Expedition at this point. It would be my fourth Ford, but the Tahoe/Yukon can’t be counted out yet. Thanks for the great review. I always need to know how many chicken bakes I can keep on hand.
Not a fan of moving climate control functions and things like heated seat controls and defrosters to a giant screen. Buttons and knobs are superior for getting things done quickly.
Once again, Ford is playing catch up to GM. The Ecoboost engine will be needing an upper component rebuild at or near 75,000 miles. Ill take the awesome GM 6.2 engine.
Why put that small engine in the bid SUV. I'm still not sold. We ain't racing, so who cares about the take off. It will only get you pulled over. With all that torque being in a 3.5 v6, it will only put more wear on the engine

I bought a 2012 Expedition King Ranch EL in mint condition, with only 39k miles back in October, for $23k out the door. People are insane for buying these high dollar late model Expeditions with 6 cylinder turbos. Mine may not be new nor have the technology, but it's paid for.
I have a 2016 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost, it currently has 217k miles on her. Drives amazingly. You take care of your shit it’ll last. These ecoboost have been around for awhile now and they’ve fixed all the problems. Especially in the 3.5.
Was able to drive one for a business trip in Rhode Island, I had a whole week with it and it was a great experience! To bad about that sticker price 😂 I’ll stick to my 17 LTZ Silverado lol
I drove both Sub and Expy and noticed Expy was much faster and has better break. I didn't like the interior of Suburban, so outdated. I couldn't be happier with my Expy limited max.

This SUV sucks... I'm sorry Ford, but you are just not touching GM/Chevy in this segment. Nobody wants turbo V6s. In windy states their mpg #s are not even close to what's posted.
Beautiful, comfortable, fast. We asked for a compact rental on a trip to Texas recently, and apparently the Excursion is a Texas compact 😄 A pure joy to drive and ride in.
I wonder if Ford going to do EV Expedition based off Ford Lightning truck? Good market for large 3 row EV! If Ford can make it cheaper than Tesla Model X and Rivian R1S should do well! However Ford needs to work on making lightweight EV probably weight 5 tons!!

Expedition is not a luxury SUV. It's mainstream commodity SUV. Lincoln is the Luxury SUV. Platinum Expedition has premium appointments but still a mainstream offering. Older Expedition has better center IP screen integration, looks after thoughty. Hard plastic lower door panels signifies mainstream as opposed to premium. Now covered cupholders definitely signifies luxury.
I have the 2020 Platinum expedition... Although it runs really good it has been plauged with electrical problems. So much so even though I only got it a year ago, i an sick of this price of crap. Almost 80,000 car and so many problems. So yes show off all the trim and shiny stuff but never mention how Ford and Microsoft didn't play nice with they radios and sync crap.

No, I want you to try to change your oil, oil filter, and cabin air filter. Its a pain in the butt! The Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban is so much easy to maintain.

2 things I want to change in this one is the engine. A large suv like this should at least have a V8 as an option. The second thing is that vertical infotainment system is really ugly. It sticks out and doesn’t flow with the interior

Ford Expedition sales are up 73% compared to last year. This Expedition is nice! However, ford still lags chevy tahoe in sales, but not by much!

It has auto hold, it has the option of turning it off in the driver assistance menu. Someone must have turned it off
It does and I turned ours off also. Annoying feature if you are trying to creap forward some. Coming into a garage for example

U need a good ol V8 for long term reliability and towing. Tundra is also a disappointment with the V8 gone.
It needs dual exhaust, the rear wipers needs to be tucked away and out of sight and finally for that price heads up display.
I'd add a seccond row bench seat as well...perhaps it's an option. No HUD? Freaking deal killer for me.

The rear wiper absolutely sucks. Ice and snow freezes it, gets covered in dirt so when you use it, it scratches the window. Horrible.
