Looks are deceiving, filthy in alot of places cause of trash and how they dump their waste!! Resorts are always beautiful though...they hide the trash but still a great island that I will visit again
I think Male is beautiful. A small yet bustling city. Clean and Neat. People who like to walk and explore would find Male very attractive. And of course there's Hulhumale and the other islands to explore too. Thumbs up.

Wow so this is what 78,683 people/km2 looks like. Not as dense as I expected...
The Maldives are very beautiful. The capital is well organized and clean! I was curious about how they solve sewage and garbage problems since the country is small and the few non-urbanized spaces are preservation areas, as they are the great tourist attractions of this country. Where is the garbage thrown? Where does drinking water come from for the population? Since the more than 1100 small islands are in the middle of the Indian Ocean? Congratulations on the video! They are improving in waste management and water comes from desalination, pretty expensive but no other water source. Thanks for commenting.

I think Maldives should try to slowly extend their land through reclamation. Their land area is very small. Other countries are reclaiming lands. Maldives should do the same.

Importante sapere che Male' e' unica anche alle Maldive (e al mondo in quanto a densita' della popolazione per metro quadrato) .... nessuna isola maldiviana assomiglia anche solo lontanamente a Male'. 100.000 persone in un'isola lunga 1200m x 700m dove si puo' trovare assolutamente di tutto, ma non va confusa con "le Maldive" che normalmente si immaginano. Male' non ha NULLA di turistico ne di predisposto per il turista, va considerata con un occhio completamente diverso da quello del turista...

Realmente uma cidade feia, desorganizada, com fortes indícios de pobreza e desigualdades sociais, trânsito caótico, etc. Certamente uma prova de que a riqueza gerada pelo turismo trás benefícios para poucos, bem como da falta de planejamento econômico que visasse prover empreendimentos, emprego e renda melhor para o restante da população. Pontos que vi como positivos, fora as belezas do seu mar, é a aparente segurança e a diversidade religiosa. E, concordo, somente para passeio.

@@eljefe4300 no not really but you don’t get as good product as you do in other countries and the beach is polluted like any beach it not as fun as it seems like especially in the capital city, resorts don’t show the real Maldives it show the beautiful side of Maldives.(I hope this helped 😊)
