6:34 "I think I'm done, goodbye." -Windman, 20XX Seeing Blizzardman fighting Plantman was a real treat! When you did the last Megaman 6 tournament, I was surprised at how well those two performed. Politely requesting a Blizzardman VS Heatman match-up. Both have an invincible charge move and both are very powerful robots in their respective games. They seem quite similar despite being opposite elements, so it feels right to make them face off!
Really appreciate all the effort that went into this. Megaman 6 was my first Megaman game, so I have a lot of love for it. Just know you made my inner 8 year old girl very happy
Is anyone else surprised at just how well Yamato Man did? Usually in the other videos he'd just get his teeth kicked in but he had an extremely good showing here. Genuinely have no idea why either - maybe it's because his attacks are just much more frequent and difficult to dodge than a lot of the other MM6 Robot Masters, maybe it's because he's just always moving unlike a lot of the others here, I dunno.
I think that it's mostly due to mm6 having a lot of weak bosses, outside of this league he only stands a chance against Elec Man, Flash Man, Shadow Man, and Guts Man, and even against them his match against Elec was a draw. Maybe bosses added later will change this, but for now I feel like he's the best of the worst robot masters.
Knight Man has a shield towards his face, not under, above, and behind him. Its not the same as Plant Man shield and Blizzard Man invencibility state, thats why Air Man defeated him by blowing tornadoes below when Knight Man is falling down after being in the air
The most interesting thing to me is the fact that Yamato beats Centaur, Centaur beats Blizzard, and Blizzard beats Yamato. And even then, none of them are truly sweeps. They aren't overpowered (like Plant Man) or underpowered (like Knight Man, Tomahawk Man, and Wind Man). They're in a sweet spot of robot masters that are balanced against each other! I would love to see more of them. In fact, it might be neat to have different tiers of robot masters that do well against each other.
Yeah, some of CentaurMan moves looked almost tailor-cut for certain robot masters, like him charging through barriers, running away from suction, shooting proyectiles to corner, or even comboing ricochetting bullets with his mad charge.
I have an interesting idea if a buff of Knight Man is to be added: The Knight Crusher blocks projectiles This will mean that the Knight Crusher can block normal projectiles such as the Thunder Beam or Ice Slasher. Additionally, it can penetrate shields such as the Plant Barrier, however it cannot penetrate attack invincibility (such as Blizzard Man rolling and Heat Man after he gets hit) and also likely the Flame Blast and similar attacks. Thus probably wont be enough to fully make a buffed version of Knight Man, as most Robot Masters avoid the Knight Crusher entirely, but its a start. Actually, for some reason, the first time I played through MM6, I thought that Knight Man's Knight Crusher blocked shots, so I would always jump over the Knight Crusher, fire a shot, and then jump back as it rebounded. So the fight was just harder for no reason.
Knightman may have only 2 wins, but you gotta admit with the tools he was given those are some pretty impressive wins Edit: also i decided to tally his win rate in both his own video and this video, he has a record of 48 wins to 332 losses, a outstanding 12% win rate
I'm actually surprised how well Yamato Man performed. I always imagined he'd be like, 3rd worst or something. Flame Man also nearly drew TWO matchups, barely coming short with two 9-11 performances!
Wow! You got it right! That's incredible! I need your incredible betting skills for this next fútbol pick: Ronaldo vs. a kid in a wheelchair. Just like the MM6 ranked league, I just can't figure out who would win!

Teleport and rushing with that... helped him make his place as we can see, yaaaaaaayyyy. :> Blizzard Man - He's just interesting, balanced dude. His snow can be random. He can: walk, range attack, rush... AND FLEX FLEX FLEX. (I was flexing in time, when i wrote about him.) And... Plant Man - ...I have nothing to say. Good job, Brazilian Plant Man... *More aggressive version of Wood Man flashbacks*.
Centaur Man is incredibly fun to watch fight with his teleports and stampedes, like vs Flame, it feels like he set up a checkmate between firing at the wall for the rebound and charging at Flame at the same time
Magnet Man should be good! I'm looking forward to seeing him. Poor Snake Man will probably be a doormat (if a really mobile one), but besides that, I think 3's set will add a few strong competitors

It helps that a good number of the MM6 bots REALLY love to walk into you as their main attack. And well with Plantman you're playing right into his plan that way
More than weak, their AI was easy to exploit, but he still needs attention since his projectile is huge. I myself prefer to start the chain with WindMan though. He's also pretty easy.
Blizzard man has to be besties with Plant man off screen or something, there is absolutely NO WAY he can nullify Plant man's only means of attack and just conveniently fumble the victory THAT many times
1 - I always like to imagine plant man having bfdi flower voice and manerism 2 - Super/mach2 knight man should just have cut man ai and cut man projectile for the mace, this would alrea make him much more effective
As many say, Knight man needs buff. Yamato man spear's main thing is bypass shields, it should bypass plant man barrier, also Tomohawk's DPS needs buff.
I'm pretty sure Centaur Man's teleport should make him unhittable as soon as the animation starts based on fighting him for a while in the legacy collection, but beating Blizzard Man is still better than I expected.
I just found a video of this, Centaur Man dodges a shot near the end of the fight that would've hit him in this around 33 minutes into the video m.th-cam.com/video/VG-7zmqViGo/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUXbWVnYSBtYW4gNiBwbGF5dGhyb3VnaCA%3D
It seems like Centaur Man now has contact damage when he’s doing the trample move and teleport, I noticed in older videos he didn’t have those, are they new? It seems to make him a lot better.
Losses across the board for Knight Man, and pretty decisive ones at that. Maybe he needs a buff after all. Maybe a hitbox on the jump would help? It certainly looks like an attack with the way he's holding the mace.
Blizzard Man is the only one who beat Plant Man at all. Plus he had the most wins against the only other robot that beat him out of the other 2nd placers. Give my boy a trophy🏆
Personal rankings from S+ to D-: Blizzard Man: S-, solid and fun top tier like bubble man Plant Man: S, completely walls most opponents but isn't *absolutely* invincible Tomahawk Man: D, insert interesting thing about tomahawk man here Yamato Man: B-/C+, really slow but can triumph over ground-favoring opponents Knight Man: D-, too polite and chivalrous to win more than two matches (he doesn't even deal contact damage) Centaur Man: B+, contact damage hard-carries but the c.flash loses to any lasting attacks like blizzard attack Wind Man: C, loses to opponents that attack often or deal contact damage Flame Man: B-, heavily biased matchups between air and ground opponents Bonus: Shadow Man: F (the secret rating), worse than knight man somehow
I've been waiting to do this for so long but now I'm back and ready to discuss why each Robot Master placed where they did So the funniest one is definitely Knight Man. A reoccurring joke in the community is that Knight Man has all the tools for success but he's just stupid. Elaborating Knight Man should win because his idle, walking, and jumping stances are all invulnerable. Except for every side of him that isn't the front. Which wouldn't be too bad if his ai didn't shove him directly into the opponents face and since most projectiles spawn in front of the shooter they spawn right behind Knight Man's shield. Oh and his dps is garbage Tomahawk Man has a similar issue where he has the need to be right on top of his opponent with everything else he does relying on spam fire. Which usually doesn't work I'm surprised that Wind Man did better than Tomahawk Man but thinking back to it he has basically the same strategy except he actually "thrives" at close range and he practically has a contact hit box Flame Man is just sorta average. He can block attacks with his flame pillers that occasionally hit people and he might catch someone landing with his slow projectile but otherwise there's nothing to it Yamato Man is also kinda average but he does it better so that's why he's here. Even though his ai suggests he be on top of his opponent it's never really an issue. Maybe it's because of the fact he shoots while he jumps and just has really good dps...yeah that's probably it Centaur Man is practically a walking hitbox given that two of his attacks deal contact damage, and while the teleport sucks at dodging and puts him inside his opponent he immediately follows it up with freezing his opponent and firing his practically impossible to dodge shot. The only way to really dodge it is to be far away from it and hopefully jump over the singular bullet Blizzard Man would suck but he's secretly Heat Man 2 and abuses a gimmick to place high and that's invincibility. He'll just occasionally become a ball and bam nothing can hurt him. In fact he'd probably be the best one if becoming an invincible hitbox was his only attack...hey wait a minute Screw practically being a walking hitbox Plant Man *is* a walking hit box. The only attack he has is making a shield but unlike Knight Man he is protected on all sides and doesn't insist on being inside his opponent but rather a genius strategy of walking through your opponent with a hit box, gaining distance with a jump, and then throwing said hitbox at them, and on top of everything else this move technically has no endlag. The moment it's off screen he pulls up another one so even if you think you can out shield him you can't. It's funny how 1. As opposed to Fireman's absurd offense it was an absurd defense that was the victor 2. The stereotypically weak beginner robot masters are surprisingly competent and tough opponents. See y'all at Mega Man 2
The thing with Plantman is that his defense IS his offense. There's kind of a reason he trivialized Fire Man in his MM1 Boss Rush run, the shield not only blocks everything in its path, but the slow trajectory when thrown also means it has a high chance of just...hitting, repeatedly, while still blocking everything.
Wow it almost looked like the low tiers were gonna win certain matches but they still lost. Like Knight vs Centuar. I thought Blizzard wouldnt be tied for second. Huh
Tomahawk Man's showing is very disappointing but not surprising in the slightest. He's awful, but it's not funny like Knight Man being 0-20'd by most of the cast in this video and coming out with 2 wins total out of 140. It's just sad. Blud literally choked on air at 5:43 🙏 I feel so bad for him
Knight Man is SO BAD and I can't think of how to improve him without just inventing brand new abilities for him. Well, I guess you could give his jumping animation a hitbox. That's about it though.
yea there is nothing you can do without altering game mechanics unless you recoded everything to involve a contact hitbox attack but a smart one that gives the one with the most momentum the damage. it would also help tomahawk man, i specifically remember him being the worst for bodying mega man with his quick hop step jump which he prioritizes sometimes.

No wonder why knight man thought he didn't have it in him in magmml 2, he got pummeled hard!
Personal rankings from S+ to D-:
Blizzard Man: S-, solid and fun top tier like bubble man
Plant Man: S, completely walls most opponents but isn't *absolutely* invincible
Tomahawk Man: D, insert interesting thing about tomahawk man here
Yamato Man: B-/C+, really slow but can triumph over ground-favoring opponents
Knight Man: D-, too polite and chivalrous to win more than two matches (he doesn't even deal contact damage)
Centaur Man: B+, contact damage hard-carries but the c.flash loses to any lasting attacks like blizzard attack
Wind Man: C, loses to opponents that attack often or deal contact damage
Flame Man: B-, heavily biased matchups between air and ground opponents
Bonus:
Shadow Man: F (the secret rating), worse than knight man somehow
I've been waiting to do this for so long but now I'm back and ready to discuss why each Robot Master placed where they did
So the funniest one is definitely Knight Man. Oh and his dps is garbage
Tomahawk Man has a similar issue where he has the need to be right on top of his opponent with everything else he does relying on spam fire. Which usually doesn't work
I'm surprised that Wind Man did better than Tomahawk Man but thinking back to it he has basically the same strategy except he actually "thrives" at close range and he practically has a contact hit box
Flame Man is just sorta average. He can block attacks with his flame pillers that occasionally hit people and he might catch someone landing with his slow projectile but otherwise there's nothing to it
Yamato Man is also kinda average but he does it better so that's why he's here. Even though his ai suggests he be on top of his opponent it's never really an issue. Maybe it's because of the fact he shoots while he jumps and just has really good dps...yeah that's probably it
Centaur Man is practically a walking hitbox given that two of his attacks deal contact damage, and while the teleport sucks at dodging and puts him inside his opponent he immediately follows it up with freezing his opponent and firing his practically impossible to dodge shot. The only way to really dodge it is to be far away from it and hopefully jump over the singular bullet
Blizzard Man would suck but he's secretly Heat Man 2 and abuses a gimmick to place high and that's invincibility. He'll just occasionally become a ball and bam nothing can hurt him. In fact he'd probably be the best one if becoming an invincible hitbox was his only attack...hey wait a minute
Screw practically being a walking hitbox Plant Man *is* a walking hit box.
It's funny how
1. As opposed to Fireman's absurd offense it was an absurd defense that was the victor
Blizzard Man easily has the most rarted AI out of all robot masters but I guess it's fine since it balances out also having the OP attack
A Tier:
Plant Man
B Tier:
Blizzard Man
Centaur Man
Yamato Man
C Tier:
Flame Man
Wind Man
D Tier:

So we now know the result of the tournament of Mega Man 6: Dr. Wil… ahem… Mr. X would have ultimately declared Plant Man the winner.
Poor unfortunate Knight Man...
I love you Plant Man my money is always on you
New robot master evil metal man

Could use a total wins tally:
Plant Man: 135
Blizzard Man: 85
Yamamoto Man: 85
Centaur Man: 85
Flame Man: 78
Wind Man: 60
Tomahawk Man: 30
Knight Man: 2
Im all in for blizzard man
Plantman is the Airman of Megaman 6.
PLANTMAN GA TAOSENAI
Are you just going to stick with the 8 bit games or will you try and adapt some 7 and 8 robot masters into this?
Do a demake of them! Surely some fan has done this. If not 9 and 10 should be able to made to work with this since they're retro style.

Wow it almost looked like the low tiers were gonna win certain matches but they still lost. Like Knight vs Centuar.
I thought Blizzard wouldnt be tied for second. Huh
Knight man is a shame to the robot master class
He should be ashamed to be even named "knight"
More like Squire man. I'm demoting him.
plantman goat
プラントマンは強いってよりズルい
Tomahawk Man's showing is very disappointing but not surprising in the slightest. He's awful, but it's not funny like Knight Man being 0-20'd by most of the cast in this video and coming out with 2 wins total out of 140. It's just sad.
Blud literally choked on air at 5:43 🙏 I feel so bad for him
Knight man is so useless that the only way Knight Man wins is if its Knight Man vs Knight Man
Knight Man is SO BAD and I can't think of how to improve him without just inventing brand new abilities for him.
Yamato did so much better i thought he would
