Yep, agree with everything said. I always feel a slight 30’s grainy recording sound with this, which gives it the haunting aspect. Love the lyrics to it too, although the whole In Rainbows period had terrific lyrics.
I've got to go back and look at all your viewer request suggestions. Now that you know Jakob's tastes a little more, where do you think we should go on this suggestions?
@@the15thfloor71 Blimey. I’m struggling to remember. Archive I remember suggesting early on and most recently it was the War on Drugs. I’ll have to check and get back.
From my previous suggestions, I’d go with Archive’s “Fear, There and Everywhere” from their most recent 12th album. Short intro/outro and it’s under 4mins. Not my favourite from the trip hop collective, as most of them are 8mins plus long from their Controlling Crowds era in 2009, but this is a solid intro to them.

Classic b-side! I think he's liked the b-sides from the early days
Live versions of this song is fantastic.
Radiohead is my niece's fav. band. She's 23. She got me into some of Radiohead. I'm 64. This is actually my fav. song from her fav. band. It's like Gen X father says. Although I liked the song better before the higher octave ending, originally, hearing it again, and again, is an acquired taste. Now, high is the new low, [pun intended] and I like it equally from begjnning... to end! Try that, Gen Z son. It may happen to you too! 😀Differentiate this from MJ. It really is original. And right, the swells are what make this song so unique and powerful, especially the one beginning after 8:00. And also the chiasmus shift shortly after 9:44. The ending was a bit cut short at 9:54, for any getting into and wondering about the true ending, though.🤔
The kid needs to listen to this track for a week. Then he'll be anticipating it and embracing the cool down after the heavy verses.

Wow, I can no longer claim In Rainbows as my favorite album haha. I always thought these were b-sides! Gonna have to read into this now haha. In all fairness, it wasn't until like 2009-2010 that I started getting into them lol.

Technically, they might be considered b-sides (after all, a second disc could be considered side b on vinyl). But I think they are a part of the album, even though they were released a few years later. But this is RH after all... the unreleased stuff is just a good. Thanks for watching
