You fellas all need tools. Daniel, you might have doubles of things you use on the farm that you could help set Weston up for a toolbox for his truck. You need tools to carry in your truck, as well. 👍 I think Larry & Linda will settle in nicely. Good problem solving between you & Houston. 👏
Sending ❤️ to you all from Michigan 🌊

As a side note,,,,, an absolute great "prevention" rule should be: always before and right after using a tractor with any attachment,,, do a walk around to check all connections, all cotter keys as well as cinch pins to ensure all are there/ none are missing. Saves from having issues. Even one missing pin can cause problems if not repaired/ replaced right away.

Always wanted a turkey namesake. If my husband were still here, he would agree, I'm sure. Daniel, Weston is lucky that you are so even tempered. My father was too. I remember when I was 9 and learning to drive a tractor. I ran straight across a shallow ditch and popped the tractor's block. Let's just say my father was a dirt farmer with 7 kids. He never had two extra nickels in his pocket to rub together. Yet he didn't rant and rail about the significant loss I had caused. Bless you.

It’s great to have the rain. I live in NW Iowa and we are thankful for rain this year. It’s been quite dry once again. And we were even deter last year. Close to 12 inches lower than normal rainfall. And I know southern OK actually had it worse. So every drop of rain counts! Praying to God it continues throughout the summer! Farmers and ranchers need it badly. Need those all important hay fields to produce and the grazing for the animals. So many people had to sell of their animals last year and that was heartbreaking to watch. My family had to sell off our farm when I was younger back in the 80’s during the crisis back then and it sucked a lot. It was such an amazing place to grow up and I never quite got over leaving there.

Poor Weston. He is doing the best he can. Daniel he can’t be expected to know all the parts of a tractor unless he is taught. A good chit chat is due for sure. I think experience with the tractor will help in the future but it could be expensive at the present time. I would have him go back and pick up the limbs that he left. That’s how he learns. I enjoy watching your videos and have for a long time now. You do realize your son is not you? He doesn't have the life experiences you do. He doesn't have experience relating to how a tractor works or what happens when something comes loose. It could be that the pin that fell out caused him to dig into the ground. Also, going around a downed tree probably didn't occur to him to move with the front-end loader as he mowed. He's young, he doesn't see all the things he could do to make life easier like you do. You have been doing this a long time. He will learn as he does. He's doing a great job considering he's a newbie to doing this kind of thing. Kudos to Weston for what he has accomplished. :) :) :)

Congrats to western for all the work he’s got done. As for those pins on linkage arms, they do have a tendency to be bumped out if you hit a bit of uneven ground. Also with age and use those clips don’t hold as well. It is well worth having a few spares and changing as soon as you feel a weakness in the spring.
