  • Today was spent building bikes, visiting arguably the best bike shop in Tokyo, and briefly leaving central Tokyo to track down an essential piece of equptment for our journey.
For those interested, the camp stove in question is a Soto Amicus. We could have purchased it in New Zealand but found it was about $10 cheaper in Japan. We also researched travelling with gas stoves can be risky and there is a chance they can be confiscated by security, so decided it would be better to buy once arriving. That's the reason we tried so hard to find one!

Reviewing the folding bikes it is of course difficult to know which one of the bikes that I like best but will mention the roads are harsh at times in viet nam for a number of reasons I’d say 20 inch! Overall the folding bike is a good way to travel !paul

Just now surfed in to find Coof-maskers in April 2023. Yeah, like I'll subscribe.

Masks are expected everywhere in Japan, commonplace even before covid. We respect the culture. Thanks for watching!
