I live in windham. I just got a 17 ft triumph center console and plan to hammer stripers this year. I usually fish off the beach where you are in this video. But I can't wait to get it from the boat. I'd love to fish with you sometime and learn some things.
Glad you got em. Sadly they skipped over my spot in CT this year. I usually have about two or three weeks of 32-34" fish in the cos cob river in Spring. Think I caught two in early May, and then nothing. Not even the schoolies hanging around. Def. sucks after we had a really good fall run in the river.
What an epic session! I really want to do some live lining macks on the kayak this summer! This just makes my itch, itchier! Great job fighting these beauties Boyt!
more surfcasting? i know its hard to film if you're going at night . im a surfcaster who bought a boat but am getting back into surfcasting more lately. love seeing those big fish up your way already since im in NH and also fish southern maine . would love to try the saco bay area though so many fishy looking spots all those river mouths and rocky points
Love the videos. Whats the ideal tide for these and how do you pick your spots? I’ve been getting all kinds of mackerels but can’t seem to land a damn stripper.
Low consolidateds them at the mouths of rivers or on the beach. I prefer incoming but it depends on the spot. For rocky areas look for good white water from waves crashing. Deep water near the spot is good too
Great video Boyt, do you hook up all your Mackerel by placing your circle hook between their mouth and eyes? Wish my dad could be out with me too :( Keep up the videos :)
Thanks Boys, I just had my hip replaced 4 weeks ago and can't wait to get back out there. Love every minute of it when you are out there, not taking the great things in life like fishing for granted.
Depends. If i know it is the right tide and conditions (winds in the right direction to let me anchor where I want and there is enough current or waves making white water) I will wait it out. Also Depends on the time of year. Certain spots i'll wait it out because in years past thats where the fish were. This time of year ill fish the beach as long as it is the right tide and wind where as Fishing the beach mid day in August is a good way to get skunked. On the flip side fishing ledges too early in the year before the fish are setting up on them is risky too. So if I've had success in the past there with similar conditions I'll give it more time.

Appreciate it
Good job cap!
Just went striper fishing for my first time today on lake Texoma on a guided trip with 3 buddies and we caught 60 total in 1 hour.
Those gizzard shad grow them big in fresh water.
I love your videos.
Thank you. Filming hasn't gotten in the way of fishing so I'm going to keep making them
Dude you're crushing it
The fish have been very cooperative
@@FishingWithBoyt Nah man, your channel, great stuff! Great thumbnails!

I'm heading out Saturday night in the rain. Putting the go pro in a case and wearing a wet suit
i will be out saturday too hopefully . tight lines
great video man
Thank you. The fish made it easy
Always love the videos!!! I might get a GoPro and start documenting myself. Do you ever troll the macks or mostly anchor up?
I'll slow troll them on the beach in late July before the blues show up. Not a lot of bites but it is all big fish
Mash the barbs. Those circle hooks won’t let em off
You ever want some company hit me up. I live in the Portsmouth nh area but I'd travel to ya
I’ll come help you out brother! Got my boating license and I can bring my go pro! 😂
What tide were you fishing ?
Awesome video too!👌🏽
glad to see back fishing for stripers, are anchoring that close to the shore?
I am. 6ft of water. It's boulders surrounded by sand, so as long as you know where the. Boulders are you are good.
Love the videos.

I always go through the nose right in front of the eyes. Good hold, the most natural and least taxing retrieve on the bait

What do you use for chum to bring in the mackerel?
Ground up herring or old bait and fish scraps.
Just curious, how long do you a spot that’s not producing before you move on?

Come to Tampa Bay
Charter info?
Not actually a charter boat, might do it next year.
