Looks like my editing software neglected to export the layer that hid my virtual card information in my Privacy ad. Well, I closed it so no more using that card lol.
Dude! You just rigged my mind with intrigue! I'm actually going to do some R&D on codespaces and present a tech talk about this where I work. In as much as you pay, I see more value in Codespaces, and you can offset the cost of creating a temp dev environment with your cloud provider to codespaces using the "make public" feature you displayed briefly in the video. Just have to dot the i's and cross the t's on pricing first before I introduce this. Thank you. You're legendary! Found you through this vid, now subbed 👌😁
Every year that goes by as a developer (starting my fifth year now) I'm continually mind blown by the incredible tools that are made just for us tech geeks to use. It's an entire incredible world of genius software implementations that normies never hear about
It's one step closer to making teaching modern software engineering in public education without breaking the budget on computers that can run the damn dev servers.
Damn-I am new to GitHub and all and as a Computer Science Undergrad, and this video, seeing in my first year, makes me think I saved a lot of worthless long steps via this video. Thanks a lot man
Could you please make a video on setting up Git/Github and other things to get ready for job applying. I’m a self taught programmer in python and would like some guidance, thank you!
I am so sorry, but I felt that it's important to tell you. 😅 When I was reading your channel name for the first time in the animation at 0:48, before it was completely rendered (FORREST_KNI), my brain clicked in and I read it as Foreskin, especially as it started glitching as there was not enough time to fully read it, so automatic word completion kicked in.

Great, informative and fun video! Glad I stumbled :) upon your channel. Quick Q (perhaps with a very obvious answer but newbie here): are we supposed to set up a complete working dev environment locally, push to remote and pick up from there OR does Github automagically know what the project needs? I suppose its the former - push the source code, dependencies, libraries (virtualenv?) ... to the remote repo and then it works like you described it? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any answer and your time man 🤗
Couldn't agree more about the beginning of this video. Let's go Michael. But, the vs code and github teams are killing it. Let's hope the windows management clowns stay out of it.

This is some higher quality video, not only based on the editing but also the content itself. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate that more than you know. Thanks!
This is going to be a great year with the amount of new videos!

You don't have to love the company to love the project.

Good one! Even though I work with native mobile development I got one of your videos recommended here. Here's my contribution!
And congrats on the baby!
Epic, I wonder if the live server extension would work as a work around to not being able to run code.
Damn so high quality! keep it up!
your T-shirt reminded me my childhood brother, I was addicted to Dragonball Zzzz 🤣, even was making modes for cs 1.6
mmmm, watching your video while I am in class 😏.... but my lecturer has gone MIA

Nice video! I’d like to learn more about GitHub!
I like the shirt bro
So is this a good way to show people your code on your portfolio website? Read only etc?
Hey Forrest, I have a quick question regarding codespaces, can we use it like say GitPod or Replit Teams?
1:37 there is the card date and cvv 🤷♂
/edit: Ah ok, you know. 👍
I fear no $4. But that thing, **0.07/hour**, it scares me
I equally hate youtube ads this is why i use mpv in my archlinux build XD
I haven't looked at Codespace yet but from what you described, I'm guessing that it will be really similar to Azure DevOps CI/CD process.
That’s actually GitHub Actions. This is completely different.
Nice video, Can you please mention the music at the end ( google song search can't help )
Cant focus on the video just staring at Sayajin's Prince.
What does "Starts at $0.18/hr" mean? Do I have to pay beyond my monthly subscription?
Yes. You pay based on your usage of the VM.
Nice video but Python Java ect confuses the heack outta me can github be used with basic?

I did see a number on the card...?
clear explaination, nice
Yes, creat additional videos on Codespaces.
Encouraging ❤❤❤
What if youre not on your own repo
Thanku, can you make video on how to code as bieng a school student.
Interesting, nice content!
Brooooo I actually tried ctrl W...... a little warning would have been nice :')
That shirt 🤘
More videos like this. Thanks

Forrest How is the baby doing? Baby sleeping 💤 at night? What happened with your coffee stuff?

Hats off Microsoft, I love this
$4.00? Should he buy Codespaces or diapers? Hmmm.....
well I got it for free how is that?
Oh my, you have a perfect resemblance to "Jesus" 😊😊
Btw why the differentiation between code spaces and Dev its just weird innit ?
nice one
Great
Interesting
13:09 liked long hairs
Is it just me or he looks like Jesus ?
Sounds great at first, until you realise they are going to feed the WIP code to Github Copilot so it can "learn" how code is being developed.
Jesus
Thanks for paying for the enterprise just for the sake of showing us.
