He's perfect with ramen. i think Gyeonggyu ramen will do great in Asia or maybe the world. I think many people will like to try it after this and maybe it will become a staple ramen.

as uncle roger rightly said, it is all in the MSG. Eat more powder, let your health go down the bins, pay them the money to "raise the funds" and also later when suffering from effects of MSG, go go go pharmacy and healthcare prices can go up. Way to go!!

@@yahmahnomeh to be fair msg doesnt have many health affects but there are a good amount of people with msg allergies which can cause some issues for them. Gmo’s on the other hand… those will definitely do a lot more damage.
This episode made me realized that Lee Gyeonggyu is really amazing. This is the first time that I've seen him struggle that much since i started watching Fun-staurant. I can now really see why he has the most food that have been launched.
I think Ryu Suyoung won the best recipe but Geonggyu's ramen is more practical for convenience store and let's not forget this show is about making business too. Geonggyu deserves to win, he's not just exploring the taste but also good at business mindset. Imagine having a soy milk ramen in packages... it's just my opinion tbh.
Oh and Yuri, she's the star of the show, very lighten up the game. She got Indonesian noddles (Indomie), she should have tried Indonesian food called "Martabak mie". Basically it's just indomie and eggs mixed up together and fried it like a pan pizza. Easy, cheap, delicious, everyone will loves it..

Yuri is a star of the show. Geonggyu's ramen is the best both in taste and for business. it's cost affected . Bang for Buck
OMG YUPPP THAT WAS WHAT I WAS THINKING TOO WHEN SHE STARTED FRYING!!! i was hoping she would make it like maggi murtabak but then she didnt add in the sachet and egg hahahaha. I think when the pandemic is over she should travel here and try it out at our roadside stalls
Ryu Suyong‘s one lost maybe becoz it’s not really a new recipe, it’s really close to tantan tonkotsu ramen, when he made the broth (without toppings) at first he even said himself that it tastes like tonkotsu ramen. Maybe the judges tasted that similarity and they wanna introduced sth completely new. This has nothing to do much with complexity or practicality because at the end every flavor can be ramenified for selling. In my country we even sell ramen version of Pho and Bun bo hue, 2 very complex broth if you ever taste them :)

Lee Gyeongyu always wins by covering both flavor and the practical business concepts. The other contestants lose because they focus on flavor and creativity.

King of ramen is not entirely right considering the premise/theme of the show.. more like he's the best ( don't really like him but he's the only one that seems to understand it's not masterchef) cz he knows & pays attention to not just the highlight ingredient but the product as a whole. It ain't just bout the tastiest dish but as he mentioned it's all about bang for your buck.
Sadly, he always use pork😭
The main reason Lee Gyeonggyu always comes out on top is because he's the only one who truly thinks about the whole brief: marketability.
It's not just about coming up with a unique idea, or about making a tasty dish. It has to be reproducible en masse while maintaining the flavour and at a low price

This 1:1 cooking battle and chefs judging and voting is by far the BEST ever since this show started. A lot of excitement and anticipation, I approve 👍🏻. I really like it and hope to see it in many of the upcoming episodes.

I think considering each person, their recipes were obvious, and thinking realisticlly it was obvious who was gonna win. Yoonah is best with homecook style food, and that was exactly her dish. Home-y (especially considering she made it based off a soup she had a lot as a child.) Sooyung's dish is something that could be served at a high end restaurant. He made something pretty fancy. But the competition is to sell these dishes as products in a convenient store. Knowing that Gyeongyu was the smartest in this situation. He made his in a way that tastes amazing, with a taste of a well cooked deep broth but using powders. His ramen would definitely be sold, and is the cheapest to produce.
Others used all good quality ingridients, while Lee Gyeong Gyu using powder from the sachets and win 👏👍👍
haha your mind and mine same... so later when everyone fall sick from undernourishment after spending a fortune buying their stuff and "raising funds", everyone can now support the pharmacies and healthcare in Korea too. YAAAAY. So many birds with 1 stone.

Lee Gyeonggyu is actually amazing. I don’t know what Korean food tastes like but all his recipes look really nice. They’re simple. Other chefs made theirs too complex.
Imagine making a ramen powder from scratch. With too many ramens on sale right now, creating something new in an old fashioned, practical way is really hard. I can't imagine how many times he tried mixing all those powdered spices and flavourings to create that perfect new taste! Gyeonggyu-nim is truly great!

For the info of all he took time to create that powder, he failed several times before he got satisfied of the result and then he just packed it like it’s just ordinary. It’s his own powder creation.

I love this show! Ever since I have been watching Korean shows, I can’t watch other shows. Korean shows are so creative. The concepts are so fresh and really makes non-Koreans immerse into Korean culture. I also love how these shows try to promote something good. Hats off!

This is such a good TV project. Getting the community roped in tgt and not at the opportunistic during such tough times. Ratings don't suffer. People are entertained. The nation will stand behind such products because they know it's for its people and nation. Good job to the producers of the show! I ESPECIALLY loved this episode because of the live cooking competiton...this is the kind of thrill I enjoy in competition shows and I loved all the chefs so much. So happy for Gyeongyu-ssi Ramyeon King! Can't wait to try them all.

i'm sure that yuri's ramen dish taste really good & super creative , but suyoung manage to retain what we like about ramen - a refreshing broth/soup you can enjoy with the noodles. even on gyeonggyu
