    Me casually listening to the video in the background: "well, my old 3770K might actually be a bit of a bottleneck to a 2070Super if used for 1080p..."

      @Lord Frieza You're joking? That's not how latency works. Higher latency will depress performance where memory (and cache) access is heavily utilized. It will not create a bottleneck.

    IMO, the biggest selling point of the GTX 1650 over, say, the GTX 1650 Super is the power consumption. At 75W TDP you can power the GPU over the PCIe slot. The Streacom DB4 is a completely fanless case the supports passively cooling up to a 75W GPU. The GTX 1650 is the most powerful GPU in that power envelope, that is why, IMO, it should not be discontinued even if it is indeed poor value for money.

    I think that the "UserBenchmark Is Garbage" section of this News Cornered should be a little more elaborated, specially taking into account that new members and less experienced viewers might find it to be a somewhat bold statement with little to no proof. I'm not saying it is a bold statement, I'm just saying that the combination of surprise and foreign shame faces with a trash UserBenchmark review can be confusing when the viewer doesn't know exactly why the review is that bad. And since the video has a strong informative purpose, I think that the addition of a couple of objective arguments explaining why the viewer should not trust this site would be very beneficial.
    I'm just saying all of this because I love this channel, and when I watched this video with my brother (who isn't as informed about PCs as me or you) he didn't understand a thing of why UserBenchmark is so bad, so I thought other viewers might have had the same problem. I agree. Computex was for B550 and Ryzen 4000 APUs based on Zen2 and Vega. Though I find it kinda odd that AMD would choose to put that off even longer - unless there was a delay in manufacturing somewhere.

    The thing about the GTX 1650 GDDR6 is that it's an improvement from the GDDR5 model, not a downgrade like most low end cards where they use DDR3/4 and GDDR5, the GT 1030 being an example. So really if people look at benchmarks of the original GDDR5 model, and get the GDDR6 model, they will just get a higher performing card. i don't think this will matter much

    I think UserBenchmark are still stuck in 2012 and haven't bothered testing any AMD cpu's since the "8 core" FX fiasko and assuming that Intel is still way ahead. Maybe testing with old games that can't utilize more than 4c/4t? Or just complete Intel bias. Could be all three though

    I've always liked userbenchmark for the ability to test my own system against... my own system. It's a neat way of quickly getting an overview of how setting changes affect your system performance. I've also always been acutely aware of it's shortcomings. Usersubmitted data, even with very big datasets are... troublesome to say the least, and their tests are really bad at cross-brand comparisons, especially with regards to GPU's, since AMD and NVidia have radically different architectures. I still used it though, because I figured that knowing the limitations, it was still useful to me. But holy hell it seems the creators of that site have no understanding of their own tools limitations, and just hate anyone who points them out... Honestly think I'll just stop using it if they can't stop smearing people who ALWAYS speak based on their test results and ALWAYs conider the limitations of their testing methodology.

    To clarify
    "Gamers should pair the 9100F with a Z390 motherboard and unlock higher XMP RAM speeds" is BS.
    "3700X offers real world gaming performance comparable to the $80 USD entry level 4-core, 4-thread Intel Core i3-9100F" is BS^2.
    "9400F deliver better gaming performance in nearly all of today’s popular games (vs 3600)" is BS, and it's missing an s on delivers.
    BEING FAIR, they recommend using NVENC rather than getting a high core count CPU, which (I think, please correct if I'm wrong) makes sense for a streamer on a budget.

    • @hoodman420

    • @jamiepearson532
      @jamiepearson532 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair. £54 for a cheap H310 MB vs £105 for cheapest Z390 is a minimum £51 premium for the fancy chipset. That's 73% of a £70 quadcore, vs 37% of a £137 hexacore, so it makes a bit more sense there.
      Another gem here from fuamd.userjokesandlarks.com , "early benchmarks for the 1300X just pip the 7350K to the post but results in specific games will depend on the extent to which the game is able to use more than two processing cores simultaneously". This sums up there "philosophy" perfectly. Even in 2017, Intel's mid to high end processors had been using 4 cores for 7 years, XB1 and PS4 had been using 8 thread x86 processors for 4 years, AMD had been offering 6 and 8 thread processors as its main products for 6 years and AMD had just brought out a new, fully scalable architecture, with 8 cores and 16 threads on desktop and instructions per thread worryingly close to Intel. The writing was on the wall for dual core. But you never know, the end user might be playing Quake Live : )

    I'm extremely upset they killed StoreMi. I've done several budget builds with a B450 board and cheap NVME SSD for caching. SSD caching is no replacement for a big fast SSD, but it allows for SSD speeds 95% of the time. A 4TB HDD + 250GB NVME is still substantially cheaper than a 2TB SATA SSD.
