Those side plates are actually a super simple friction fit install no glue required all ya need is a flat head to remove the name plates from within the magwell!
This being the Capt Xavier channel my first thought early in the video was that there are three "TYRs" haha okay I realize it's stupid It's very cool to see such aftermarket support for Dart Zone blasters like this and the Pro/Max etc.
Well flywheelers perform better with full lenghts as full lenghts have a longer surface area (i.e. longer foam) for flywheels as the name implies, impart more energy onto (the dart) due to the larger contact area/time. Conclusion more energy imparted due to longer foam=more power
@@echo3568 not necessarily half lenghts still maintain their edge of stabillty in flywheels regardless, its just that full lenght tend to have higher initial muzzle velocities in flywheelers.
Full lengths are more easily accelerated in single stage flywheel setups. But half lengths get more stable flight paths at higher initial fps ranges. The fleet of "designed to be overvolted" flywheel motors also are not happy with fullsize flywheels. You're itching for motor burnout quickly if you use beefy fullsize flywheels with Merlins on 3s for example. But with mini flywheels (hurricane or pulsar wheels), you get more reliable performance, and short darts seem to like higher rpms. So, dual stage pulsars krakens into Merlins can easily get your short darts over 200fps, while you need full size flywheels in a dual stage to get full lengths over 200, and finding a good reliable motor to do that in the second stage is harder.
@@CaptainXavier I’ve got a spectrum. I might have to print a short pusher. I play with two groups, stock velocity, and 200fps. If this is still hitting 70-75 ish with 1/2s it would definitely be worth it.
i genuinely love the look of this, and i'm wondering if there's anybody who's done an autostryfe style autospectrum mod/kit somewhere? with a big half length mag i think you have a perfect SMG profile there
This “the box” is pretty awesome!

Wow that makes the Spectrum even better. Thanks for showing it off. Keep the great videos coming.

Snazzy indeed.
I already have the megillah Cage and wheels, and the rextech battery tray. They're wonderful for the spectrum. Highly recommend!
Great review mr. captain sir! I'm glad ya like it! We have a couple extra bits still in the works. We just didn't get them done in time for this. ;)
I continue to wait patiently for a Spectrum Bolter kit.
Working on it

A quick question: in a world where half length darts is the standard for competitive games, would a full length dart be considered a handicap?

@@SirBrass oh wow thats exactly what a more experienced flywheel modder explained to me, coudnt be said better .
Neat!
Hot damn, that would actually be an amazing prop weapon for a game I'm working on!
Slick kit!
Where can I get just the half dart pusher? The one from Drac just doesn't push the darts far enough to get engaged by the flywheels
Reach out
@@joshuafrantz8306 I'll do that, thx
Cool mod!
What kind of fps will that get with that cage and flywheel combo with short darts?
With Fang Revamps on 2S I'm getting a solid 170fps with full-lenghts. Haven't tried half-lengths yet but I'd expect at least 150fps.
@@rextechbuilds3375 thanks for the information
Yo nice vid homie
"Git yerself one!"
What kind of velocity does the blaster get with the stock motor/pusher and shorts?
Probably about the same as it gets with full darts

Are all the kits that Franz Foam Works came out with only available when the kit comes out? I'm very interested in the Villainator kit.
Some were box exclusives, some are not. Check their website or the websites of the designers or thingiverse. They may be out there somewhere.
Villanator kit is on the site
@saro yes what can I do for you
Can u try modding a flyte?
Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I found an open box discounted at Walmart, I got it apart but I wonder what parts I could put in that thing?
@@blight6080 I'm thinking of getting one and try to extend the stock, make the trigger action and mag release smoother and remove the locks

Yes

Just be sure to replace all of the stock wire with 16 gauge and replace the stock switches
