    The SKS Edge mudguards are a must have for every Cowboy rider. There are some Cowboy specific installation tips between the 1, 1+, 2 and 3, check them out underneath. In the video we used a Cowboy 2.

    For the Cowboy 1 and 1+, use a M6x20mm bolt to attach the front fender on the rear side of the fork. Make use of the longer stays (ment for the rear) for the front fender. You can use the shorter ones for the rear.
    For the Cowboy 2 and 3, use a M5x65mm bolt to attach the front fender to de front side of the fork. Use a longer bolt (65mm) for the front-fender.

    Thanks Very helpful, in the mean time there is no need to drill a hole in the rear one, they provide an extra plastic part to use to hold the rear mudguard at that place.

      How did you install the extra plastic part? If i use the extra plastic part, the mudguard rubs against the tire.

    It didn't go flawless for me (Cowboy 2). I noticed that defining the place for the hole was more precise when I added the plastic ring to the lower bolt before measuring. After installing the rear wheel the upper bolt was too high for my tyre (Schwalbe marathon plus), so I had to use another bolt with a flat cap there.
    The fenders look stunning though!

    It's also possible to mount the mudguard without removing the wheels. For the rear wheel you just need to deflate the tire. Easy!

    I have another experience with this setup. i have the V1 and for the back mudguard there is no problem. The front mudguard is another thing. In the fork is only 1 hole, and this hole is on the backside of the fork. The lip on the mudguard has to be placed at the front of the fork.If you want to place it on the back, then is also the metal rail to short and is it not possible to fix the mudguard .

      You say the back mudguard at the back is no problem with the V1, but there are no holes in the back to attach the stake holders. How did you do that? The front in my case was no issue, I used the plastic holder that comes with the sks to attach it to the back side of the front fork and left the metal attachment of the front guard unused.

    • @chrisknaepen4523
      @chrisknaepen4523 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevindekok4508 i used that plastic part where the mudguards clicks in at the backside. The holes for the metal rail at the back is covered by a plastic cap/plug that you have to remove. You did it also at the front normaly. You can find this fixation point when you look for the nut that you have to unscrew to remove the wheel. above that nut you see another two screws aligned. Above these screws you see the plastic cap that you have to remove to fix the metal rail. This is the case for a V1 offcoarse. When you see minute 7:20 in the video, you see the holes in case of a V2. For the V1 it is almost the same.
      I made a bracket for myself to fix the front mudguards. Just bended a U-shape. Fixed it wit a screw at the mudguard and fix it at the back of the fork.
