- This is about three things: drinking a bottle of wine I found on the side of the road in a pile of rubbish; accepting a challenge from a TH-cam subscriber who said I should sit in the middle of a field and tell stories; and answering questions put to me by friends on Insta. I reminisce about old hats, past films, first crush, show films that are either coming up or not-quite-right, and bang on about all sorts of things that are all pretty interesting.

I wonder if you know how inspirational you are Beau, as a film maker and a runner. To have someone who just ‘does’ not talks, but to do. I am not a crafty man, however I do run! I would love it if you could make a video about a simple wood working project you could do with stuff lying around. Not random wood and the paddle (loved it) but more simple like a photo frame or something for beginners?
Beau, the main thing I really love about your videos is how honestly and accurately you portray Australia. It's like the nation is one of the main characters. you get across the nature, the humour, the way we interact with each other and the strange way a continent with twenty five million people still seems like just a big country town. I don't think i've ever seen an Aussie TH-camr capture the quintessence of the country so well.
I did as the man suggested, sit and watch this video with a glass of wine, which turned into several. It was the best 14 minutes of the last 4 months. I love the description of balance in his life that he describes. Being so happy in all aspects, especially relationships. I could listen to this rippa of a bloke all day. Would love to meet him some day. Can’t wait for the upcoming deluge of content.!! Thanks so much Beau!!

20+ years hiking and the only one in a white cotton business shirt. Many marvelled - until I told them why. If the suns too intense I can turn the collar up and roll the sleeves down. It also washes readily in a stream and being cotton, doesn't keep me warmer than I want to be.
The first thing overly aged wine will lose is its aroma. 2nd - its flavour. 3rd - its body aka mouthfeels - and finally its colour.

Just wanted to let you know you're now my "beau miles" when I'm out walking or running. You pick my pace up. You make me look around and appreciate the environment I'm in at that very moment. It's a beautiful planet we share and we should all spend time to appreciate it. Thanks again for your uploads and stories Beau.
Great fun Beau. Somebody else may already have offered this. As you suggested, pigs do not sweat much. In fact they don't sweat at all. That's why they love wallowing. If you want a sweaty animal, look at a man or, more impressively, a horse.
The first few years at my property, every winter's erosion would unearth more junk and mysteries in my sloping backyard. One year I found a full and sealed bottle of white buried in the mud! It was terrible, not spoiled just bad, but I got a story out of it!
Something ive noticed is that sometimes, you meet someone or see someone doing something who is, without a doubt, a well rounded individual. A forrest gump type person, a person whose done a lot and been to a lot of places. Someone who has a story. An individual. And those people are the most transformative to the people they talk to. I envy your students, they learn from someone who has gotten it straight: do what makes you complete. Do things. Go out there and experience the world at your fingertips. You dont too often meet someone like this. But i think you certainly fall into this group of people, Beau. A conversation with you must be captivating. And I aspire to be a well rounded individual like you.

It's an interesting transition experiencing a moment from the first person to the third person, somethings are discarded as junk and some age like wine but sometimes the first-person perspective makes the experience seem like junk, but give it time and some third-person perspective and bloody oath you'll find you've made wine out of junk.

Kudos for making the effort at Bondi even if the video didn't come together.
