I love this very uninformed garden channel it's the way I would do it fake it till you make it🤣🤣 also the beer in the slug trap I could just imagine me in the garden setting them up like Homer Simpson ' one for you, one for me'🤣🤣🤣
Trenching bucket, grappler, mulcher.....can't wait to see all the attachments you end up buying for the excavator! 🤣
That was a fun video. ❤
Love Nicole’s style. She films while you do the heavy work. Clever girl 👏
The loud silence of disappointment at 11:03 😂😂😂😂
Coming from a sugar cane area and using a lot of the milling by-product in gardening(dad did anyway), we call the fibre "baggasse" and the the other "filter press mud". Fantastic for organic gardening and burrows for mice, toads and snakes.
I love how encouraging Nicole is. Props to her. Good work on the tools Tim.
"It doesn't matter we're playing with toys"- Tim 😂😂😂😂😂
The veggie garden is looking amazing. It's come a long way from the start. Won't be able to watch any more of the 3am videos or lives, work/life just doesn't allow it, but I'll watch them at a later time. So glad the excavator is finally there. Have fun with it. 😊❤
This is definitely the best video" vlog" update" yet I'm definitely excited to see more mini big cat shenanigans!! Thank you guys for doing what you're doing and sharing!! Absolutely love it!!
@nicolet607 Nicole. Next round, potentially use the 3 sister method. The Iroquois and the Cherokee called corn, bean, and squash the three sisters' because they nurture each other like family when planted together. The corn grows tall and fast, and then the beans will use them to reach for the sky, and the squash will take refuge in the shade below. Also a few sunflowers in each bed will help the soil tremendously and bring in pollinators. I absolutely love how this is all coming a long and I can't wait to see what comes around!! Thank you guys so much for sharing the shenanigans!!
Excellent vidoe. Love the progress. 😊
On the raised beds wide copper strips around them deters slugs and snails!
That's awesome. Im glad you got your machine. Imagine the possibilities.
Loving this new "farming" branch of your videos and seeing you play with a different sort of toys 😊
Nothing wrong with mowing or mowing related toys, but its good to see this different kind of content, and watching you learn as you go is just as fascinating. 👌
Every thing is looking 👀 great well done you two 👍👍🤩🤩
Glad you got the excavator. You're going to get a lot of use out of it. The veggie garden looks great and Nicole sounds like an old hand at gardening already.
lol hardly. I need all the advice and suggestions I can get Valerie I am your typical “google” gardener and even then I am getting some of it wrong 😂
So jealous of all your cool equipment. We had a Kubota tractor at one time and it was so handy.
That was fun. Thanks for sharing with us! 💜
Another 4am night isn’t in the cards for me, but I hope you all have fun! ☺
Look what you got for Father’s Day 😅😅😅
Money well spent! You’re pretty good handling the new toy! Love listening to the banter between you and Nicole.😊 The garden looks amazing, can’t wait to see it grow. I’ll be here watching. 💚
Thanks Brenda 😊. I am loving watching it change now as the seasons get warmer. It’s wild how quickly it happens
You definitely did a thing Tim!! Love it!! I'm excited to see what shenanigans y'all get into!! Thank you for sharing!!
"You look like Bob the builder" Nicole 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Aww Tim, you have the best tools! So jealous!
I'm pretty lucky I get to do what I do, I get some awesome opportunities.
In Oregon we can get hazelnut shells which works great as a layer to keep out snails and slugs and even cats. This is a big area for growing hazelnuts.
That red bird on the water tank was a male king parrot, as an encouraging partner I’m with Nicole & encouraged the purchase of our kubota mini excavator & it’s been a game changer.
Great job on the excavator, my youngest son runs the huge ones for his job. Love how the garden is coming along. You both are learning so much and it’s fun to watch you both. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Ahoj Time! Škoda že Nemáte všude ten krásný anglický trávník! To by byla krása! Mějte se krásně! 👍🌿👍🏆👋
You're killing me Tim. I was scrolling and got excited when I saw the thumbnail...only to realise it wasn't released yet 🙃
Enjoyed watching keep on keep on
Don’t dig over the sprocket end of tracks. Have the blade down, and dig over blade end. More stable. I have over 40 years of running massive track hoes loading semis, scrapers art’s.
When using the excavator have the blade in front of you where you're digging from to help stabilise the machine and use it to push up the pile you're digging from
Great job ❤❤❤
Thank you for using proper PPE! Proper protection equipment is important and cool to use 😉
The Cat Excavator should be named Doug 😉
Another great video Nicole 😂 looking forward to more of you giving it to Mat, sorry I meant Bob the builder 😭😭😭
Thumbnail pic - That mini excavator looks like complete overkill in that garden bed! 😂A mini rototiller would have been more than adequate!! 😂
Looking forward to the collab with Mark from self sufficient me! Another great Aussie garden youtuber
😂😂😂😂😂something id do as well. I cant see
Thank you for sharing all this, it really brightens my day following your progress.
What is in the circular metal structures by the vegetable patch?
Soooo jealous of your heavy equipment. I live in the suburbs so no reason for me to own any. 😂
Hey Nicole, I love those grow bag things 👌. I have a courtyard type back yard, so am space impaired. They will be perfect. Thank you 👏👏😃
Edit: I put seasol on my sunflower and tomato seeds/seedlings last year, and just wow, they seemed to have grown a foot overnight 😳😅😅. Amazing stuff 👌
What did you grow in the grow bags ? I was thinking maybe strawberries ? Or herbs ? Love to know what you did and how it worked ? Thanks 😊
@@nicolet607 oh, no, I meant I was admiring your grow bags, and I will probably get some 😃. I grew sunflowers and tomatoes in large pots 👌
Johnny apple seed. Nicole broccoli seed, I see the vision.
Hey Nicole, seasol is not a fertiliser just a soil conditioner that helps with root stress so put the dynamic lifter on everything as well. Yr both doing a great job xxx
Seasol is the company name, they also make lots of fertilisers including the green bottle version of the seaweed concentrate which is a great liquid fertiliser.
Dig toward the blade . Drive motors are on the backside. Super expensive if you put the bucket into them and break them.
Nicole, will you be learning how to operate the mini big cat?? Also, have you had the opportunity to drive the loaner deer around the property??
Remember to have the Excavator blade on the side that your working. to prevent it tipping forward when you lift your load :) !
Otherwise, Enjoy!
Sprinkling ash from your fire place all over the soil works as a good slug repellent in Gardens. Tested and proven. 👍🙂
😄😃 Go Tim
Good morning Tim.With all your new acreage I was wondering if you plan to get a bigger robot mower?
a lot of it is bush so it is manageable. I currently have 4 here to try and another on the way so I don't really need a bigger one.
Hi Tim, what`s happened to this weeks podcast on youtube, miss it live but normally out a few days later.
We are behind due to schedules. I may have to do it on my lonesome tomorrow night.
Good work Tim you te best te moostuin te planting te bloems te aanleg best frieds thans te video Top week 🚛🪤🚜👍🌤😅😎🧢🎧🧋
Is there a house on the block or just a shed? It looks like a nice area to live.
Caffeine solutions of used coffee bean is more effective on snails and slugs
I’m waiting to see if you have any regrets about not getting a progressive link thumb added to the 301.5. You can always get one at any time and you may not miss what you never had. Kind of like the difference between being born blind and going blind…as a wise man I knew used to say
👍
👍🏻
It’s a Tonka toy!! 😃
@@turfandtools Gonna have lots of fun with that.
Garden is starting to look good.
It will all be trial and error for the first year or two but you will get there.
Gardening Australia website has great info on the how to. Worth a look.
That’s the fun bit. I’m used to messing things up so I won’t be discouraged 😂
Diatomaceous earth is a good repellent for crawling insects.
Also great for the chickens to take a dry bath in to kill any parasites on the skin.
Oooo I have that for the chickens now. I use it to dust the coop when I clean it. Great tips. Thanks 😊
When I saw it they used an old tire and put the earth in the middle and the chickens would get in and flap their wings.
WHAT DID THE EXCAVATOR MONEY WISE MAKE YOU PAY
A shame you have to give the Deere back. What will you do without it? Maybe they’ll give you deal on that used one. Only driven by a little old lady on the weekends.
It went back today. I’m hoping to try some more soon and I will buy something eventually
I'll say the word 'moist' anytime. No matter how cringeworthy it makes the ladies feel.
We need to see Nicole… come on Mrs Tim, get out in front of the camera!
lol. Maybe one day but for now I am happy to give orders to my worker lol
The Plan is for these Update and homestead project videos to come out every Wednesday 8pm Sydney time.
Amazing but not worried about it!! I'd be happy with once a month!! Thank you guys for doing what you're doing and sharing!! Love all the shenanigans, especially Maggie and Kevin!! Can't wait to see what comes next!!
@@karmareed3598 Bite your tongue. Never slow down the content. You are so bad.
@@eric_seguin so pull your head out and take a bite yourself
@@karmareed3598 First off, lighten up kid. Second, I love Tim and his lady. Third, processing these videos depends on gross content, software, and computer processing power. We don't know how hard it is for any specific channel. I follow about 60 channels and am poor so its hard to keep my mind occupied enough to not go bats. I do have fun watching Tim more than most. He's a hoot. You need not protect him. I'll never harm him.
@@karmareed3598 Awe. I'm scared.
