Even if it was a tad bit over $200US, I personally think it's worth it. I own an AM-X12 and I beat the heck out of it with the taller pinion gear and on 3S(120c). No issues at all. Their quality is faaaar better than WLToys.
I like the Rlaarlo brand. When everyone locally bought the WLToys 1/12 buggies, I bought the Rlaarlo. I think the Rlaarlo is a much better option and their new releases continue to impress. 👍🏼
I bought one today used. Amazing quality and detail. Really fast, servo steering fast. Problem: when it jumps, has trouble landing. Had to go flip it over too often. My son’s friend crashed it and the front end shattered. Hopefully I can get parts to fix it. I sent an email to support cuz the website doesn’t really support the part numbers in the manual. I love the truck, we will see if the company allows me to buy the right parts.
Good review, thanks. Problems with all this kind of RC cars (Rlaarlo, WLtoys, ...) , mostly, are the totally missing of grease and oil in differentials and gear boxes. Really, 1 grs of grease in diffs won't increase the price by twice 🙂. It is boring to disassemble them before the 1st use. + a begginer doesn't know this kind of situation and will have problems sooner or later without the comprehension of the situation. I think that this kind of material is made to broke, and with the cost of parts later. You'll never see that with big brands like Traxxas, Losi, ... Yes, prices are not the same, of course, but quality (and size 1/10 vs 1/12-1/14) is not the same at all. Don't blame me for being against these brands, not at all, at least it makes it possible to start the hobby at a lower cost, but just a few small details make people can give up the RC practice very quickly.
I just got mine last week, this little thing is insane on 3s! Got myself a Radio Link transmitter and a bunch of receivers, and added gyro to this buggy. I got my Mojave 6s and this the same week, guess which one I've been driving more? My only beef so far is the steering servo not always returning to center.
For 179 at the site. Best bank for buck out now. Prove me wrong. I put my sledge away since I got that little thing. I keep it in my gym bag!! It’s a freaking basher in all honesty. If you keep it on sand or grass with a ramps? It performs.

Hot bad but there are some MJX Hyper GO brand RC cars out there that tomley has reviewed around $120 that are insanely good as well! This is almost the price of a Team Associated MT14 which is supposed to be super durable as well. Good to see some options out there. Competition is always good for the consumer :)
On 2s 39 miles and on 3 s I hit 54. I’m staring to think eBay has knockoffs or something because I’ve experienced this with the truggy. Maybe your battery but I think they are selling after brand. Since you could find anything as a replica now and days
Thanks for your honest review. And yeah the color is awful lol. How your speed result are possible ? All other reviewers get around 40mph in 2S and 60mph in 3S. You bought it or it was a free review sample ?
Maybe his throttle dual rate was set to 75% on the transmitter. When I checked mine was set to 75% I had to wind it up to 100% and got my 53mph top speed on 3s
I wish you wouldve left the part in when you smashed it with your fist 😂, it looked like you were about to smash it to show thr cage durability and you edited it out.

I think your radio might be set to 75%. Mine came that way. Put it on 100% you will achieve advertised speeds👍🏻

Those are good too for sure. This is a little bigger and that's good. Small bashers are too small sometimes.
Is this diff the same size as their 1/14 scales on the 1/12th scale dessert buggy?
Looks like it would be a good size to pull behind a crawler on a trailer. Then could run both of them on the trails
