Glad you enjoyed the video! It is an absolutely amazing place. In the next couple weeks we will be coming out with Carlsbad caverns videos. You are going to want to add that to the list too! 😁
Great video with awesome content! Can you still enter the park if it’s closed? Are there gates? We’re planning a car trip there but it’s saying they’re closed.
Thank you so much! We don't remember seeing a gate but we didn't go there when it's closed either. Here's what posted on the park's website: "The park gates always open at 7:00 am with closing hours changing with sunset. The park closes 30 minutes after local sunset. Local sunset is 8 minutes earlier than Alamogordo's predicted sunset." Sorry, we couldn't answer it better. Good luck with your trip planning

Right!? It's actually a really geologically diverse state if you know where to look. Or next couple videos will be from Carlsbad Caverns which is another amazing spot 😎
Amazing!!! It's just like being on a different planet.
It is such a surreal place!
I am going soon and will do the nature trail and range led sunset walk THANKS
Awesome! Have a great trip, and let us know how it goes!
great info and absolutely great pictures and videos. thanks
@@kaelisaac thank you so much! We really appreciate that! 😁
Yes! Going there this fall. So excited!
It's so pretty! Have an amazing time! Hopefully the video helped!
Looks depressing. White sand without beach lol. Like eating donuts that isn't sweet
Very nice video. We’ll be visiting White Sands soon. Greetings from Germany.
@@sascha6065 so glad that you enjoyed it! Are you going to be visiting Carlsbad caverns as well on your trip?
White Sands is gorgeous! We only visited for a day, but I would love to go back and just sit and take pics!
The photo ops out there are amazing! We would love to walk out into the dunes at Alkali flats at sunset again. The textures and shadows were epic!
This was a wonderful guide!I was able to learn so much about the park!😄
So glad that you enjoyed the video 😁
Awesome
Thank you very much
Great Video. We are definitely adding White Sands National Park to our must see list when we visit New Mexico.

Which trail did you do for the sunset pictures you got?
We didnt do the full hike, but the pictures were taken in the Alkali Flat Trail area.
Nice video.
Thank you!
Stay in Las Cruces. Born and raised 45 mins away from white sands. Las Cruces is one of the nicest small cities
@@ernestoarias6860 thank you for the recommendation. We will do that next time we are out that way. 😎👍
We live in Alamogordo and have been to the park many times. Everyone that comes to visit us from out of state wants to go to the park.
@@Silverado1222 it's such a beautiful place, we can definitely see why! Do you have any other recommendations in the area?
@@LiveThatAdventure I wish I did but, White Sands is the star attraction.
@@Silverado1222 No worries! Have a great day 😎
@@LiveThatAdventure thanks!
You skipped October!?
oops did we!? 🤣

how about mid Oct visiting?
Daytime temperatures range from 70°F to 80°F, and the park is less crowded compared to summer.
I live in Albuquerque but ive only ever went to white sands once, when i was 6 😅
@@Itssophiii sounds like it might be time to go back.... After it cools off a little😎
Not like that when family was stationed there!
When were you stationed there and how was it different?
Can you camp there?
@@MA-rc7tq there is backcountry camping out there. I'm not sure if it is open currently, you might want to check the park before you go.
When is the great time to visit the park?

not what I envision when I think of new mexico lol

To anyone visiting there, resist the urge to take sand home with you. They really frown upon it, as well as explicitly ban it.
@@Kehk-in-a-MiG we totally agree!
White sands missile range is close
I think we saw a launch or 2 when we were there. It was pretty wild
That cool my father was a F-16D pilot he was stationed at hollomans afb which is in wsmr
@@Justchill-bm3bo that's really cool! We thank him for his service 🇺🇲
