Sometimes, you assume others are ignorant when you yourself are ignorant. I completely agree that you shouldn't believe anything you haven't experienced firsthand, but anyone who thinks "what I haven't experienced cannot exist" is truly wearing the crown of ignorance. What we have experienced is very limited compared to our boundless ignorance.
25:56 In india it's fine.. My elder brother sister mother father.. Anyone can hit my child.. Generally its not happen but in very big mistake they did... Eg in a wedding my cousin drank too much n misbehaved with someone my elder brother hit him in the wedding n next day my cousin apologize to everyone
34:50 completely different concept u have about family... When I was in high school I need to teach my elder brother children as well as my elder sisters children also n during 2-3 hours if needed I hit help.. N nobody said nothing even if they cry... Yes only my mother yelled at me... So it's fine....my nephew was 16 years old n he had fight with some other school kids my other brother (uncle of dat boy) went to school and without asking anything he hit 3-4 boys but afer some conversation he realized dat my nephew started the fight then he slap him also at the same place... So things work like this here... If anyone who is elder n he/she taking care of the family they can hit anyone... But hitting a girl after 15/16 is very very rare... Only the mother do this on very very big mistake....
Brother you need to take birth in an Indian family in your next life. But one thing I can say for sure neither the girl who got slapped felt angry about it or " how can he slap me?" nor the parents think that what he did was wrong
Are you a female? Because Everyone that has been defending the action so far is a male. I think that says a lot. Let's hear what the women have to say on the matter...
you are thinking of it in the wrong manner without applying the context. The elder man is the head of the family. All the people around are basically family or close confidantes. Think of the Amish culture for reference or in the older cultures where the head of the family makes general or important decisions best for all. Please note that his anger comes from a place of concern and not ego! You would explore and learn that more as you watch the film. He had exclusively warned them all about the haunted room but still the girl gave away the keys! He was angry but also more worried for everyone's safety including his niece whom he slapped. A slap is not a big deal for self-esteem or some trauma for young Indians raised in a traditional environment, especially by their elders after committing a grave mistake. The reason her father didn't interfere is because he knows his elder brother loves all the kids at home equally and to make understand the danger they are in right now! Culture is different depending where you are in India, in this case they are in a small town or village where traditions and rituals are taken very seriously!
You're absolutely right about the remakes being absolutely trash. Idk what bollywood has come down to. They don't even make any unique stories anymore, just cribbing to good old movies, copying even their songs and how the audience still enjoys watching them is beyond me. But really appreciate your reaction buddy, keep them coming 👍
It's the same for me. I don't believe something, if I haven't experienced it. While my mother has lots of anecdotal stories about paranormal. Her entire family believes in that too. It's still very weird for me. 😅😅
don't even try ur phylosophy in india.. what u talked about about hitting her is absolutely bullshit.. Hitting children to dicipline and assaulting is a 2 diffrent things.. no one support an assault.. and he is elder brother of her father.. and in india we live together as a family.. if needed one brother can discipline children in the house whoever children is this.. and his father/mother will not fight him for it..
Its you whos bulshiting , not him. Hitting, especially in public is not normal even in india. It destroys self esteem. Kuch bhi india ke naam pe hugne ka chor do.
@@el_scribbler he wasn't wrong about protecting his family.. and that NRI guy is also his nephew.. in india we live together in a joint family like in this movie.. and he is trying to protect him from upcoming danger thinking of him as his own child.. in india parents can be over protective of their children.. they hit us it doesn't mean they are assaulting us.. we still love our parents..

They are so ignorant about what is family means that's why have problems like their children can't figure out what gender and what is a women...😅😅😅😂😂😂
Actually he needs some Indian parenting... He says he will hit his elders if his parents hit his child on misbehaving tells a lot about his culture...
That is how mental disorders begin. No sanskaar but act like sanskaari

So the fact that he turns out to be wrong about his small minded actions means nothing. He never apologizes to her about it.
