Isla Cabana Resort in Siargao Island offers three different room types. The room presented in this video is the Ocean Premiere Cabana (aka the Naked Island Cabana).
The room comes with a jacuzzi on the porch, air conditioning, WiFi, a large safe, an indoor walk in shower, twin basins, and an outdoor shower.
I absolutely loved my stay in this cabana. The views were spectacular, the resort splendid and the staff went out of their way to attend to our every wish.
The restaurant serves a buffet style breakfast with Filipino and Western options. Ala cart breakfast is also offered.
Food at the restaurant is surprisingly good. Service can be slow at times, but very reasonable in general.
There is a brand new gym at the hotel with some cardio equipment, up to 25 kg dumb bells, and a squat/bench press machine. This area is not air conditioned. So, be prepared to sweat!
Hotel guests can make free use of kayaks and there are two swimming pools at the resort.
There is also an enclosed fire pit for ocean side barn fires. You simply have to ask and the staff will setup for you.
There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, including Kermit, Mama's Grill, Surf and Dine (the old 9 Bar), and Baile Restobar.
Further down the road towards Cloud Nine, there are more food options to choose from.
General Luna is within walking distance of Isla Cabana, but you will probably want to take a habal habal (taxi motorbike) there. It costs 20 pesos per person to go to most places.
This price goes up to 50 pesos at night for foreigners and 30 pesos for locals. I was told that foreigners are usually charged 30 pesos during the day, but was never quoted this much by drivers.
