Wow. Who knew this Bluebell engine went through an evolution since being built all those years ago. May Stepney continue to be a symbol in many ways. A symbol of steam, a symbol of the Bluebell railway, and many other symbols. Happy birthday to Stepney the Bluebell engine. Bluebells forever!
You did a fantastic job going over the history of Stepney's design through out the years. I definitely learned a few things about Stepney. Also, Happy 149th Birthday Stepney!
I’m not really sure what the best type of Terrier is. Marsh Umber is my favourite LBSC livery, so naturally I think it looks great on the class, but seeing Boxhill in Improved Engine Green also looks nice. Stepney combines both Stroudley and Marsh elements, so it’s somewhat fitting that it represents the class.
*Stepney 149 years ago* = Handsome boi
*Stepney in modern era* = Handsome boi
Couldn’t agree more
He just wanted to stay young 😢
Stepney is close to being ancient, and yet he still to some extent looks like he hasn’t aged a year.
Happy late birthday to Stepney & merry Christmas!
