Lets be honest everyone is here to learn how to remove the damn cover not how to change a battery🤣...... For me when i removed the cover i broke that tiny piece on purpose that is next to it so now it doesn’t have a locking mechanism but the cover can slide out just put a tiny piece of scotch tape and it’s such a better option then ruining your nails everytime you want to open it up!

it REALLY helps to do what he did at the end with the pin. i broke a nail trying to open it and slide it to the side but with the pin you just put it in the side and pull. i suggest it, it makes it waaay easier :)

was getting super frustrated with this myself but for all of you who are using this with the plug in an USB or into the wall 1.) yes the way he put the battery in is the correct way 2.) (learned this the hard way) for me at least, you have to point the remote at the power source for it to control the lights, not at the lights themselves. so if it’s plugged into the wall, point the remote into the part where the lights are plugged into the wall. for USB, point the remote at the USB outlet that you’re using. hope this helps!

Using a pin really helped, thanks a lot. Also helps if there's two people doing it, one pushing the pin down and one pulling out the compartment.
