Beautiful footwork, stroke kinetics, and game plays. Every single shot of yours in the game play had reason. Very nice work and thank you for posting! Hope to see your name in WTA rankings in the near future!
Bärenstarkes Video! Wir lassen für unsere Tochter jetzt auch eins anfertigen für den Start ins College 2023, aber die Vorlage hier ist schon heftig. Ich hoffe nicht alle sind so gut wie Laura :-)
Hey Laura! Love this video. Your strokes are amazing! I hope this video served you well in college? I was wondering if I could use clips of this video to do analysis on my coaching channel. Your strokes are perfect demonstrations of how to hit the ball correctly! Do let me know. Thanks, Leon
Effortless power, uncomplicated strokes, graceful and positive footwork and court movement....and you can kill an overhead!!! your game is tight! Best wishes!!!
Thanks, random TH-cam recommendations for bringing me here. I don't know if the application did the trick, but since I'm here... Best of luck with your career Laura, your technique is great
Very solid, can't imagine anyone passing on the chance to take a closer look at such a well developed player. I had 2 concerns: (1) On groundstrokes, I noticed you wait for the ball and sometimes move back to get into position. You hit with power so it has probably worked out fine so far, but I would like to see you get in the habit of moving forward to attack the ball on groundstrokes. This will complement your power and give you an edge in getting to the net. (2) you hit with power which is a key strength, but my concern is what happens when you play someone who can handle the power. This is where strategy/tactics come into play and I would want to a demonstration of this ability as well. Best wishes to you on all your endeavors, tennis and otherwise!
Excellent game. Show up to the WTA focused, don't let your emotions in, play your game, only look at the next point and you will have the prize money you deserve.
All aspects of your game are solid. Liked your forehand direction change and cross court. That is pro level. Great foot work, energy and agility. Very good example for other upcoming players.👏
Groundies are super-consistent. Her footwork is excellent and she lacks nothing in court coverage; she's fast. The serve is tight. I'd like to see what her kick serve looks like and some slicing from her backhand; particularly backhand approach. But those weren't shown so there's nothing to be said of those. If I could add one thing to her game that I did notice is how to attack her opponent's heavy topspin shots. In the video she backs up on all of those. She would do well to pick those up on the rise as much as she can. I know, that's tough to do well particularly on your backhand, but opponents will scout her for that and attack it. But her game is very tight and she should go far in college. Let's keep an eye on this girl over the next 2-3 years to see if she pops up on the circuit rankings.
regretting leaving tennis.. it has been 5 years since thinking about picking it back up.. we are about the same age btw but you are very accomplished in the sport.. keep it up
As a coach since many years, I think it is impossible to say just from looking at this video if Laura is a good player or a great player. This can only be determined by observing the player under pressure in real matches.
Not sure why this showed up in my feed, but great tennis. In hitting, it looked like she wasn't getting the forehand deep into the court but then in points she was able to push her partner off the baseline consistently. Most concerned about the serve and grip, great high toss but that can be difficult to reproduce outdoors. And would have loved to see a kick second.
As a retired coach I would like to say very good technique and movement looks top notch. If I was going to say anything to assist you I would look at your body position after you hit your backhand. Generally I notice your body position goes backwards. This is taking some energy out of your shot. Generally in open stance, unless stressed from being out of position to the ball, I would like to see either a neutral (neither forward nor backward after the shot) or positive moving the body through the shot. In terms of the video content the "points" section would be better if you didn't just show dominating play, but how you handle difficult situations... I completely understand this is a promotional video and you would also send in match play, but for those looking to put together a recruiting video for a "recruiter" believe me when I say that they want to see how you perform under pressure. Tennis is very much a mental game at the higher levels, and how players deal with points under stress is a much better way of showing your talents in my opinion. Good luck with your career !!!
I see her moving back when she hits her backhand. Anyway she still hits beautifully & she manages that background the best she can. I am sure she has been told about her backhand so it's not news to her I am sure. She's amazing!
She has a strong baseline, good foot work with strong volleys that I haven't seen much from a young applicant for college scholarship, what's most important is how you prefer yourself in a battle, yes you always go backwards instead of forwards sometimes when you hit the ball, instead of hitting them forward that makes the ball grind stronger on your rocket strings specially if you master them to hit the sweet spot so often, I like her style and she plays like a real pro, fast drills makes them perfect for your foot work, but you must know how to hit them on the rise like Agassi which I've never seen much from a female tennis players lately, hitting on the rise manage your stamina avoiding to much movement and one of them is going backwards, of course your mentality is the hardest part to gain specially if you r getting tired of your long rallies and tough opponents to which you've been chasing your score to get back to your game, adding stressful pain is one of them, the very best part of tactics you should learn is how to read the weakness of ur opponent, when you know how to direct a hard fast ball cross court r down the line and short drop balls to the net away from her that's additional advantage like Kalinskaya she is not top ten list but she finds the way to play against no#1 Swiatek and took 2 games sets.. If you know how to listen to your trainers and advisers with patience you could master those things we just told you.. 👍👍✌️ good luck 🤞
Really enjoyed your video. Excellent form especially on ground strokes and footwork. And at 17. Best of luck in college then in the pros hopefully. You definitely have pro potential.
Damn my tennis elbow, haven't been able to play for 3 months, and it's not getting better even tho I'm basically sitting at home.... video makes me wanna get back asap
One critique : Right foot gets way too ahead of the left foot when serving on the pinpoint stance , resulting in closing your shoulders too early /quick
Hi Laura! Love this video. Yoi have fantastic groundstrokes & very strong allround game. But why does it look like the balls are coming on a bit slow on to the racquet?? Is it the slowness of the court or are the balls a bit old? I am only a beginner level player but whenever I play the ball tends to come on to the racquet very fast and the bounce is much higher and I often have to take the ball at almost shoulder level or atleast chest high which I find a bit difficult especially on the deep backhands!
in the end you say "hope you liked it", I was frothing! why weren't you in Australian Open this year?? you can hit and serve better than most players we watched this year..
I would recommend that you switch from power ( hitting hard ) to precision ( putting ball to a edge line). Return balls to the center are useless. Have to practice to such a degree that each returning ball from you is lethal to your opponents.
Super consistent with power, only thing I noticed was the two handed backhand volley. Weird was the opponent during playing points, that guys was multiple levels below her, not sure how to draw conclusions from that.
He is not really an opponent. This is a practice session and he is a hitting partner feeding her the balls also doing a good job. At no time is he putting pressure on her. They are showcasing her strokes which are pretty impressive.
I thought the serve action had potential for improvement, seems a bit too much still like the one she developed as a small child. But.. what do I know ? No one else mentioned it !
This is very soothing to watch just like the pros. Thanks to your rounded action of your forehand in every shot which makes it very pleasing.
Beautiful footwork, stroke kinetics, and game plays. Every single shot of yours in the game play had reason. Very nice work and thank you for posting! Hope to see your name in WTA rankings in the near future!
The reason is to hit the ball back that's how the game works HAHAHAH

Amazing technique, for someone like myself who's trying to get back into the sport after a long break this is fantastic for learning.
really? i thought the strokes were a bit floaty

Not sure how this showed up on my recommended list, but I'm glad I watched it. Very solid all around!!
this is the best woman tennis recruiting video i have seen. she is amazing
Great acceleration on the forehand, you make it look so effortless!

your physical fitness is off the chart. absolutely first rate. hope you're getting tournament experience to development mental toughness.
very enjoyable to watch yr play, just like singing. learning a lot from yr movements and rhythm. very useful clip, clean and crisp. thanks
I love your energy and superb form. Congrats to you and your coaches. Good luck on a successful career.

Wow, Laura! That was some amazing hitting. Super consistency and accuracy.
Wow...too good...Amazing shots..Could you please describe your practice schedule, tournament wins/losses, diet and exercises? Thx
Laura has great form and footwork. She definitely has potential of being professional if she stays healthy and hires a great coach...

hi, i have to ask. how tall are you?
I'm not a pro player by any means, but genuinely curious. Why does it look like shes hitting it really hard but it's not going very deep?
Spin is usually the answer, the ball has a lot of rotation
Yes spin is major factor. Also it is indoor court. So ball will play heavier and slower.
@@anupkpurushu have you ever played indoors?! The surface they are playing on is only behind carpet in speed. Lol
Any footage of indoor play creates an exaggerated sense of how fast the ball is going because of the echo/acoustics
