I have had four .I grew up with doxies. Most of my childhood pictures have a doxie in it . Two of them are land sharks and couch potatoes and two of them are energy balls who are too busy to eat. They were so cute. I miss them
They are both absolutely adorable. The ones I've had barked at every sound especially the doorbell. Ours loved tennis balls. They would pull the fuzzy outside off never ate it under that is a smaller rubber ball they all loved to peel them. I miss ours alot. I've even considered getting another one. They are such sweet cuddle buddies ❤

I’ve just realised, neither of them bark!, How did you manage that?. My Dachsie barks at every movement near our house from early morning till bedtime. Lockdown has been heaven for him,endless deliveries which he must warn me about! Xxxxfrom a windy, wet London
I figure Loulou's parents were trained to not bark and from that, she learned to not bark. Therefore, when she had her puppies as she isn't much of a barker, her puppies don't bark either. I can't imagine Eveline training Loulou to not bark which is why I assume the parents were.

I know I had asked about that before, so I really appreciate your answers. 😀 From now on, I will be able to tell the difference because of the spots on coco's chest (if I can see them when they are sitting or standing up). Thank you. My brother now in the Philippines and me in Pennsylvania compared our memories and compared your pups with ours. It was so special to see a friend's memories with his European living with a Deckel as a child as he had been sent your videos. These dogs live again thru Loulou ,Coco and all the pups. I'm glad you pointed out their differences. I've always wondered when they're running across the beach and so on, who is who because they are so similar. Now I can look for Coco's markings and her long tail..lol 💞
I had noticed that the top of Coco's head is a bit rounder than Loulou's, and Coco has a slightly narrower muzzle, but these things aren't easy to see at a distance or when the dogs are moving a lot. I concentrated too much on their faces and missed the difference in chest spots, which will be the most helpful to know which dog is up to which mischief. I'm so thankful you allow us/me to take part in your kind and beautiful family. You are a blessing to my life.

Loved seeing my sweet Loulou and her pup, Coco. Eveline, I loved how you explained the differences between Loulou and Coco. Loulou loves to eat, doesn't care for playing with toys, etc. Coco loves to play with her toys but they both love the sun☀️and their coloring is different as is the ears and tails. I can always tell the difference between them, usually. Take care 🧸

When your dogs heard the whistle my doxie (same size and Tan) woke up and raised her head (and didn’t bark) it was so funny 3 doxies doing the same face ! 😂

They're both so trim and have a light build. With the exceptions of the dachsie we still have, my other two pups were very sturdy. They were all food obsessed, but one was a focused on all things spherical as well; they'd play tug with toys sometimes, but they were also very methodical in attacking the seams or weak spots so they could pull the stuffing and squeaker out. Loved to watch their little tugs and occasional digging fit in the blankets or at a couch cushion. Sorry to ramble on... Just nice to remember sometimes even if it hurts.
So interesting that they are not ypur typically high allert barker - sausages. Such sweer noodles. And so healthy ...those wet schnooters and shiny coats. Cudos to mum and dad for feeding them such a good diet. 🐾💕

Mine is just the opposite. Regular barker, but an excellent alarm. She hears something, it's one or two "woofs", then BARKBARKBARK!

Dachshunds tend to haunt the blankets. We had one who wanted to guard but not leave from under the blankets. So we had growling and barking blankets.
My dachshund does the same thing. She loves to hide in her blankets and pillows.
My Dachshund is the same, loves the sun and buries herself under blankets or duvets.
Dachshunds tend to do that because they were bred to dig and go in burrows to hunt badgers. 👍🏽

Wouldn’t Coco and her siblings be half alien then? But then again, I don’t know if Papa Doxie is a barker, and therefore an earth Doxie.
