Thanks for giving us a glimpse of the XM. @7:48 you have to put the digital key card in the charging tray by the shifter. There is a spot there for it there. The car will start if it is placed there as long as the digital key is setup in the iDrive. I have a digital key for my M3 Comp with iDrive 8.

I think its dope and crazy that manufacturers criticized aftermarket culture for years (big rims, blacked out lights etc) and now they’re doing it from the factory

Love the contrast of the love and hate relations for BMW between Sarkin and Vik. I never own a BMW (and never will) and I think this car is pretty cool and unique. it looks like a massive wagon on the road

It is a strange looking XM but the more you look at it the more it grows on you. I've never seen Sarkis look so happy ever on this channel.

You have to activate the key card to use it like all BMWs, then you don’t need the keys. I’m not a big fan of this car but I’m excited to see what wheels you come up with. BMW did some strange things on this vehicle but love the interior.

@8:28 iDrive 8 (which the XM has) does allow you to change the gauges in several different layouts. You can also go full map mode with BMW maps or Apple CarPlay.
Theres an activation process for the digital key… then needs to be placed in the wireless charger pad👌

I work for a bmw dealership and i will say on behalf of the xm…i hated it in photos and videos but in person it does look better maybe not perfect but definitely slightly better. It kinda grew on me i cant lie

The digital key works. You gotta have both sets of keys in the car and set it up first.

You have to set up/activate the digital key. After that you don’t need the actual key ever

It's funny how car companies just take design ideas from aftermarket mods and the street scene. I remember back in the mid to late 2000s cars started coming from factory with altezza (clear) taillights because it was popular in the street racing scene. Recently they have been coming with smoked taillights, and now fully blacked out. Looking like my Jeep Grand Cherokee from high school in 2008 🤣
