so diffusion is trying to reach equilibrium. and the process is called osmosis - the movement from higher concentration to lower.

Isn’t it ‘…higher water potentioal to a lower water potential’? I saw on some mark schemes of Edexcel IGCSE papers that they don’t accept the answer if you don’t say water potential.
ik u typed this comment 5 months ago alr,but um,I am pretty water concentration is the same as water potential, if not and it has to be water potential for igcse then I guess it just has to be :)

What does osmosis mean l mean does it includes with the water
AQA defines osmosis as 'the diffusion of water from a dilute solution to a concentrated solution through a partially permeable membrane.' But the video says it's from high to low concentration? Correct me if I'm wrong, my mocks are in a couple days and I really need to know quickly!!

its a partially permeable membrane so big molecules can't diffuse across

in an hourglass, sand goes from higher to lower concentrations

@@Hala_zahra well gcse students is specifc to european countries because america doesn’t do gcses, so in placed like the uk we call students taking gcses, gcse students because all students take exams but only year 9,10,11 take gcses
