    how can affect each element alone in impact like when i lower the volume everythings gets affected ( kick snare hats percs ) thank you

    • @HlawTabs
      @HlawTabs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can do that many ways. You can extract each sound to a separate track as I show here and adjust the volume from the channels. Or from Impact you select the pad that you want to adjust and on the bottom right in Impact there is "Gain" knob under Amp that you can play with the volume

    I have studio one 5 pro. but i just got the stock drums that it comes with. which drum kits are you using in this video? also can you do a video on free drum kits that are tailored for hip hop/trap ?
    keep up the good work 🦾

      Hey bro , search for "TRIFREEZE drum kit " on youtube , his ATL culture kit is free and has placement ready drums for Trap! Most of the drums I used on this Drill beat are also from a free drumkit that is Jester Beats - Nero. Also you can use a free soft clipper on your master like Initial Clipper and be set to start making beats!

    Hey man, what’s the difference between the main volume knob in the mixer and the gain stage knob at the top? I’ve noticed you used both depending on which track you were mixing.

    • @HlawTabs
      @HlawTabs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, the gain stage knob lowers the volume right from the source . So if a track starts to distort after you place effects on it ,its good to lower it from there to get rid of the unwanted clipping.

    • @hjkhhjkh3635
      @hjkhhjkh3635 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok bro, is there a reason why you didn’t gain stage on some tracks but used the fader instead?@@HlawTabs

    • @HlawTabs
      @HlawTabs  ปีที่แล้ว

      @hjkhhjkh3635 Not really a reason , if the sound sounds clean I will use the fader , if not the gain knob ..

      @hjkhhjkh3635 Yo thanks 🙏 I think to change the colour you click on the presonus icon on the top right on impact

    Why are there never any built in plugins for stuff like this

    • @HlawTabs
      @HlawTabs  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are taliking about the soft clipper ,yes ,unfortunatelly Studio One doesn't have one ... For free ones the one that I like is the Initial Clipper!

    Hi, are those values the same for trap music?

    • @HlawTabs
      @HlawTabs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For trap my Hihats would be lower but anything else pretty much the same . These values are mostly how producers mix using a soft clipper .

    Why did you cut frequencies that weren't even there with the eq???

    • @HlawTabs
      @HlawTabs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Hey ,there could be some rogue frequencies or some bleed so I need to ensure that I don't have any of those frequencies left in.

    • @JKingBeatz1
      @JKingBeatz1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those hidden frequencies are still being captured in the master so it’s best to cut them out so you can better the overall volume of your mix. In the box mixing is tricky like that sometimes.

  • @shan5445
    @shan5445 ปีที่แล้ว

    You didnt eq the instruments just pulled down signals where there is no signal. Play that in a car and hear what it sounds like. It will be all over the place.

    • @HlawTabs
      @HlawTabs  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The samples I use are already EQ'ed ..Even if I do nothing they will still be in the right frequency.
