the difference between this and a ubisoft title is that the ubisoft title probably has 2 to 3 in game cash shops to take your money again but Space Marines 2 has been conformed to not have one
Also game is 60$ compare to Ubisoft's 70$ games

In the rest of the world the base version of the game is 85€...

My most anticipated game of 2024, but I'll wait for reviews. If it's playable offline (including the physical media), runs well and has decent reviews I'll buy day one.
It's playable solo but not offline, it's like World War Z
In regards to the pre order at least this game is showing gameplay and then posting the preorders while Ubisoft announced the new ac game with a cinematic trailer for a $200 plus preorder
AC games always come out with cinematic trailers and then gameplay trailers within a week. And thats what happened, we have a bunch of gameplay from AC shadows

Ive been a fan of Warhammer for the past 3 years, and between Warhammer 40k BOLTGUN and Space Marine 2 i am so very happy to be a Warhammer fan. I had so much fun with Boltgun and was so excited to play SM2 until it was delayed. I dont think i will pre order, but i will definitely be buying. I just hope the Operations mode lets me play with 2 AI teamates bc i dont have the cash for the game + online services on xbox
At least we will have some people to playtest for us 4 days before the second launch.

God this game looks so good. Like a mixture of Doom and Helldivers. Lord I hope it turns out to be as good as it is looking.
Bit confused, do we know how the PVE mode works? Is it basically Helldivers in the Warhammer universe?
There will be something like Horde mode, where you and your friends go up against hordes of Tyranids xenos in different locations with customisable loadout and stuff.
Apart from narrative campaigns.
Warhammer has got some of the best and most compelling stories in fiction.
I hope they do it justice.
Wonder if we getting terminator armor. We got DreadNought in the first game as a kill streak.
I'm hyped after this trailer (haven't preordered tho), can't wait to purge with my friend in coop. And about representing stuff from the tabletop, I always chuckle that Captain Scotland in the beginning is just an exact ingame render of the phobos captain.

I was excited for this game when I thought it was gonna be a full single player experience. Looks like a co-op game where you take on waves of enemies. I didn’t see any bosses or epic scenes that I would see In a single player game. I feel like all I saw were mini bosses in the trailer, maybe I’m wrong.

You can. Just know that a pre-order is basically a beta test and that you have nobody but yourself to blame if it has a rocky launch.
Dont pre-order, register for closed beta access so you get to try out what the game is like before it is released!
Pre order not meant to play in beta so pre order meant to wait for it till release that way you don't wasted the money if you cant afford the day game released

My first instinct was to pre-order this game. but I won’t because of the trauma.
The pricing difference between the different editions between this game and ubisoft titles is very different. Not to mention the extra content on release is available on all editions and not just the upgraded ones.
I never pre order no matter how much I want a game, it should be common sense by now. Its not like they are going to run out of stock if you are getting the digital version as well

I do hope you can play the co-op mode offline with bots. Just not too fond of many modes strictly being tied to servers and such.

The only game i did that way was BG3 and Larian is a company that deserves it.

The one thing I just want to say about the whole ea, Ubisoft price drama charging like $130 for the game ea or Ubisoft didn't bother to show gameplay and they will ask us an arm and a leg at least with space marine 2 you actually have gameplay I now what this game will now look like until September. The star wars game or the assassin creed nobody knows what those games are going to look like until they actually have marketing up.
What do you mean? The gameplay weve seen from SM 2 is the same level we saw from outlaws. Just quick flashes of hudless action seens. There were longer clips released for sm 2 but outlaws had that too eventually

If the game is optimized for pc and doesn’t have a bunch of micro(battle pass, cashshop, etc.) I’ll get it week one. Gotta see reviews first.
You can register for closed beta access, you get to try it out a month or couple of weeks before the game releases. I have already registered my self.

Space Marines are super humans.
If the devs manage to get the game right, the game while it's probably not going to be as big as helldivers at launch, it will still be extremely successful while still having its own identity, peculiarity, and uniqueness that makes it different from other co-op shooters.

Also the difference between ubi and this game is the ultimate edition for space marine is 110. Ubi is 130. Then ubi games have in game stores and they are selling missions for a higher price.
yeah but the difference here is with gta it's a game that goes for years versus every other game out there ...yet this sm2 game looks great vs ubisoft's games but i believe there will be server issues hope i am wrong

To be fair as Warhammer Fan you probably can put some extra points on the Reviews anyways.
The first game was in the end a sort of Gears of War clone but with 40K flavour so every 40k Fan did enjoy it a lot more because they nailed the setting and the tone perfectly.

So there was female Sm in the lore. However, space marines can only be male due to genetics, and they carry a certain zygote. The augmentation would make a female body w their genetics sickly or so. It explains it in the lore pretty well.
