The enthusiasm and passion these wildlife warriors have is heartening. My deepest and sincerest thanks to all you wonderful people do to protect this planet.
Man we had a violent wind storm here in Normandy last year. We lost so many trees. I was walking in the bogs near my house, and I saw that they cleaned up all of the fallen trees all along the creek (which floods every winter to become our bogs). I was so angry. New tree shoots were sprouting from those trunks.
Your videos always succeed to bring a large smile to my face 😊 It's so good to see the beautiful things that are being done for plant and creature all around ^^
If I was the King of the World, beavers would be returned to every watershed where they could thrive. When beavers were almost wiped out, millions of wetlands simply disappeared, taking billions of birds and other creatures with them. Much of the world died without them. We need the again desperately today.
If you ever come Stateside to look at North American beavers, look into visiting Holley Muraco's new beaver rescue foundation, Something Wild. She has two rescues in-house at the moment - Tulip (orphaned) and Stormy Rose (washed up on shore after a massive storm, injured and very ill). They're both thriving.
If we had never hunted beaver to extinction, we'd be used to all the trees in the wetlands being coppiced, there wouldn't be any uncoppiced trees in those areas to get upset over losing.
I've seen beaver frequently in Canada. Unfortunately lots are killed each year. Didn't know they made fish spawning areas where the beavers leave sticks near the shore.
Love what Leave Curious is doing. Genuine question, how would I go about getting my videos out there? I'm very new to this and have a long road to go in terms of the videos themselves but would be awesome to know how the folks at leave curious grew their reach. End goal is just to have a returning audience that wants to discuss/give visiting suggestions surrounding nature (maybe in the 100s high end).
Great video as always but I am perpetually confounded by the restrictive "cowardice" shown by your regulators when it comes to re-wilding. Get on with it!
I think we are in a much harder position than most countries given how densely populated we are. I think we would have to have a serious discussion about things like how many sheep we have which is highly tied up with tradition and identity.

Beavers are awesome!
We need more wetlands for a climate resilient landscape.

I would LOVE to work in a location like this! Beavers ARE wonderful creatures.

Zero net zero scams. Love the beavers
Grown men excited about beavers? No surprise there
don't we all get excited by beavers? 😂
I was too old to join the Beavers so I went straight into the Boy Scouts,
I thought everybody liked a big beaver.
@@Rutlandeyeeach to their own...😂
I learned a lot of new beaver facts today! Thanks!

Beaverland 😻
I'm already there! 🙌
Great project!
i've never seen woods so beautiful. i daresay they're even more beautiful than Epping Forest!

We humans used to coppice a lot but it declined because it was no longer profitable.
awesome! i hope your govt gives the green light for wild releases soon! UK, you're a leader!
Actually, the UK is a laggard when it comes to re-introduction. The rest of Europe is miles ahead.
Beaver jokes abound…. I won’t believe it if you say it’s not on purpose.
its honestly not - beavers mean one thing to me and thats fat hairy semi-aquatic ecosystem engineers!
6:45 i would say most getting very exited about beavers 👀
Bravo 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Beaver facts aren't the worst thing to watch on Saturday
Nice, thanks
I had a beaver curry once, it was like a normal curry.. but a little otter🤣
I live within a stones throw of these beavers, very elusive are they.
Magnificent
Did you really say that Duncans got a big teepee!!!😮😂😅😊
Saturday night beaver...um not what I was expecting.
God I love beavets
would spreading mushroom spores after a forest fire be beneficial?
Wait, UK has beavers?
Yes we do and they're spreading :)

I think beavers were reintroduced in Scotland as early as 2009

It would good till he start Yabbering
on about climate change.
The beavers mean they don't need landscapers to cut back the undergrowth...so putting people out of work already, great!
