the great thing about loving to hate/hating to love villains like todd (and todd was a villain, up until the end) is that when good things happen to them after they have character growth, is really emotionally satisfying. but when bad things happen to them that they deserve, it's also really satisfying, so it's a win-win all around. even knowing the better person todd eventually becomes, and even knowing that roger howarth is the nicest guy irl, i still want to punch todd in his smug fucking face here. rape is, sadly, an all too common plot device in soaps, but this was one of a handful of storylines that actually took it seriously and didn't' try to romanticize it later. all we're made to feel is anger and disgust at todd, and pride in marty for persevering, as we should.
this looks 💓✨ really good can anyone tell me where could I watch the old OLTL soap opera) 💫cuz I've been going crazy 😂 for this show haha still is now🙏🏼 plz tell me.🌹💝💝
todd hated marty for the same reason all rapists hate their victims--he wanted power over her that she refused to give him. she called him out on his behavior from the beginning, and he couldn't stand it. there's a great scene a few years after this where todd and marty reflect about this time, and todd tells marty that he hated how she asked him to care about her after their initial one-night stand (they had consensual sex once before the rape), and he took that anger out on her. todd doesn't know it here, but even though he was never legally punished for his crime, he would end up paying for it and owing marty a debt for the rest of his live.
Todd/ marty do make a great couples I'd love to see their granddaughter later on future tv series if they bring show back I hope they bring hope back to life just like they did with Patrick/ marty?
Thanks for the memories these old clips are a rare gem.
Todd is just grinning away. :) And when Todd was threatening Marty his dad just stood there!
Peter is freaking giant
I agreed
