Yo my orchestra is going on tour in April and is gonna be at your concert in Seattle I'm super exited!
Man I would really love if u do a reaction video to roman Kim's violin pieces
Hey Ray, could you please make a video of your favorite violin pieces, top 20? curious to know your favorites!
Go easy on the bow! They want to live, I mean play, too! :D Great video, as usual.
Ray is not himself without breaking a hair bow in the first few seconds of playing lol. Marvelous playing from both musicians! :)
HAHA yes! I hate it when people say you're playing too aggressively if your hair breaks, it's just different for every player, and Ray is a beautiful player!
Accidentally uploaded a potato quality draft version yesterday 💀 HENCE WHY SOME OF YOU EARLY BIRDS HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT
Thank you again😉for such a wonderful performance 👏👏👏👏
Yep
No problem.❤❤
hehehe 🤭
I was like ehh Ray don’t usually just post it anyway It’s Ray who care lol
I love how the transitions between each piece is so smooth and almost seamless
15 to 16 was hilarious 😂
I’m a a cellist, but I knew most of these because of TwoSet! Also, hell yes Ray breaking a hair immediately 😂
Yeah, I wanted to write the same.
Did anyone notice a bird fly over when he played Spring by Beethoven? How fitting!
2:22 Thank God, I was waiting for that the whole video 😅
me too! that loose bow hair was driving me crazy!😂 (although I was actually hoping it was going to be the Sibelius. but that was the very next one!)
Same here… ocd kicked in i guess😂😂😂
I find the Sibelius intro way too dramatic and too fragmented / choppy. I prefer the violin solo start as a sustained whisper and steadily build up the intensity.
@@MachaLatte123he meant the part ray removed the snapped bow hair lol
Can proudly say after going to twoset uni, I recognized 15 pieces/movements! Thanks so much for this fun "arrangement" of all these pieces together!
Ray has mastered the violin...and the facial expressions to perfection.😅
I really enjoy every album of yours on YT music, as well as this wonderful performance.
Thank you so much! I will treat myself to ice cream tomorrow🍦
Your music connects with people, and I think that's what makes you different from just another good violinist. Thank you for sharing the beauty of music
Yes...like Coca Cola.

y’all why didn’t I know tonic was FREE till now like 😭 just installed it and I already feel inspired to learn a piece or two I’ve heard people play. though reviews say it’s buggy it’s been working fine for me till now but I LOVE the concept and the fact that it’s made by a genuine musician to millions of others. Much love!! ❤️
Pagannini, Vivaldi and Beethoven for me. All were fabulous. I love your passion and the emotion you bring to your playing.
Love the way Ray's demeanour changes as he gets into the emotion of each piece. No wonder it was exhausting. Fantastic performance.
I just love watching you play because your facial expressions always reflect the emotions you feel in each piece. There is no doubt that you love what you do……..And your playing isn’t to shabby either. 😊 Bravo!
Absolutely breathtaking! More power, Ray!
Beautiful! And what a delight to hear you play these!
TY RAY for this awesome montage of greats; truly one of my favs and unfortunate to have missed you in Toronto the other week. TY BRETT AND EDDIE for luring me into this world and within months being able to recognize and appreciate pieces like this when they come across.
Love ur video! Always playing with such bright smile really inspiring 🎉
Thanks for sharing this, Ray! I am always amazed by how colorful your sound is. In one piece, it was very soft and sweet, then in another, it quickly switched to full of sorrow and agony. Big shout out to Julio too, I appreciate you two working together to make this video for us!
3:54 MY JOY WHEN I HEARD THIS!!! Love this intro so so so much!!
Dude, you and Julio rock!!! I still remember sitting front row at a recital you gave at Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego in 2015. Best classical concert ever!!
This is so wholesome, god bless you Ray 🤍
AHHHH so many of my favourite pieces here!!!
It's unbelievable to me how Ray changes at such a speed. The transitions are incredibly well done. An absolute pleasure with Julio 🎶🎻❤️🎹🎶
The Bach partita Prelude is one of my favorite pieces and discovering the Preludio - Ysaye for the first time was incredible! Loved it, thanks for doing this!
There are so many years of blood, sweat and tears in the making of a video like this! All the practice to get to this level! Wow! A big shout out to all fantastic musicians out there!
That was a great selection of violin compositions. Well performed too. Thanks.
I love your creativity. You inspire the young generation to have fun with classical music.🥰The transitions between songs are amazing, I've never seen a compilation like this before. I went to two of your concerts in Germany and Cologne. We are waiting for you in Poland!❤❤
Absolutely brilliant 🔥🔥🔥 Thank you 🙏
Every interpretation was beautifully played 👏👏
Absolutely breathtaking. Amazing job musicians!
The transition is sooo smooth the connection is perfect
Dang, the transitions are smooth af!!😊❤
Best violin video ever. I love all perfect pieces connect together
Absolutely amazing! I'd love to hear each of these in full. I'm hoping one day I'll get to see you live in concert, if you come to London again!
Oh Ray, I love the passion and intensity that exude from your face when you play. Just amazing. I hope I can hear you playing live in a concert hall one day.
So smooth for each transaction ❤ and Ray always so passionate for his music
Wish there’s full versions of each piece!! Didn’t want him to stop and switch! Love the passionate playing. Thank you!
It's too much Ray! You're killing me! 😆 I watched it a few times. Hope it's on your FB so I can put it into my feed ❤
This is so exciting and fun to watch, thank you! I don't play the violin but still really enjoyed this! 👏🏻👏🏻
I can see that a lot of work went into this. This is very creative! Bravo! You created "Introduction Junction!"
Thank you for playing so beautifully. I am not a musical person but I was emotional along with you and the pianist.
Love this player, brilliant, with a sense of fun.
Your facial expressions and the way fou feel what you're playing is what makes the music even more palpable ❤
This is awesome, Ray! I love this video because I recognized a lot of these pieces and it’s inspiring to see the repertoire up ahead. Right now I am working on the Bruch Finale, and it is very fun and exciting to play.
Many thx Ray the timbre of your violin was exquisite!
so beautifully played ❤️
This is so amazing Sir.
U really have a mastery of the violin
Wonderful compilations and how beautifully Ray had played each pieces. It felt like a story had been told by different composer.
You are so gifted Sir. My deepest admiration to you. It is incredible how you master so much complicated and difficult to perform musical masterpieces.
That's okay Ray. It is always amazing and very entertaining to watch you play so beautifully!!! Your music is full of emotions.
Congratulations Ray and of course Julio Elizalde who has played with you all these years.... even during your early years as a solo concert violinist. Hats off to the two of you. Keep going!!!
honestly feeling very proud that ive learnt a good couple of these during my violin-learning days... as i'm studying abroad i havent been able to practice in a very long time but i really dont think i'll ever forget lol. it'll stay with me
Omg, just got tix to your June 7 th Violin recital in HK. Can’t wait to listen to you playing the Dance of the goblins. Am bringing my two boys along, as they are deeply inspired by you! Thanks for uploading interesting TH-cam videos. You are making an impact!
Ray is really amazing! 🎉🎉🎉
Superb! You are a joy to listen to.
An amazing collection of violin pieces played by one of the most amazing violinists of our time. ❤❤❤
I know all except No.3 on this list.
In a master artist’s hands, like your’s, Ray, I love that the violin can be both brightly evocative and hauntingly retrospective at the same time. The emotional depths of each expression are like the great storytellers of history. I can feel my heart beat slow or the sublime rush of anticipation with each movement of the bow. ❤
Music on string instruments FASCINATES me, but the Violin is MY FAVORITE. The way you interpret each melody makes my life more happy. My patients really like it, they relax and feel HAPPY. Thank you for every video you share here Infinite Blessings 🙏
loved this!!
Wooooo love Julio ❤❤❤
Upload more of your playing please! this is awesome
Your Csardas Ray is absolutely amazing! Sounds like a French Cafe experience. Love it!
This is brilliant!!
This was amazing ❤
I'm not a music major, but I've been playing the piano for a long time and I love the notes of the violin. Ray, thanks to you, the violin got better. I am always deeply grateful for your influence for good and for your beautiful melodies!✨✨👑🥇💯
Thank you for reminding me I should listen more often the entire concerts or pieces of this great music...
Those transitions are very satisfying
On ya Ray. That's a lot of fun. I'm familiar with all of those intros and have even played some. The Spring sonata is a favourite.
Wow the sweat!! Great playing, both of you!
I’m so proud of myself! Because of TSV, I recognized most of the pieces (!), versus only one (vivaldi ofc 🤣). I really wanted you to play more! Gorgeous playing, as always 💕💕
That was great fun Ray.
Fun - and very smooth editing.
Nicely put together.
It's not edited tho. It's all one take
I was thinking of mental editing before performing: matching keys and styles so that it flowed - not editing the result.
I got all of them! Ray never dissapoints!
Amazing !! ❤❤❤
You guys Made my day¡ Thanks
Halfway through I suddenly got the same feeling I get when listening to The Beatles "LOVE" CD, a compilation of Beatles tunes transitioned and mixed by Giles Martin, George Martin's son. Smooth segues, classic music, you have to love it. Nice job maestro Chen!
Amazing, I’ll attempt these pieces 🙏
I only recognized 3!! Guess I'll keep listening...Ray is amazing ❤️
beautiful !
Love every piece.
Always a pleasure to watch you play ! I hope my sons can play like you one day , I put them on tonic :D Paganini Caprice is their target in 10 years
항상 웃는 미소~~그냥 빠진다~언젠가 꼭 만나보고싶어요~~
Super talented I loved it Thankyou
These are really wonderful! I have an edition (printed) of the Caprices that includes these at the end! Thanks for posting. Kind regards
Amazing!
Best compilation evere
I don’t play violin but I know almost all of these pieces from twoset
So do I, although I have saved recordings of Ray playing a lot of them.
Perfectionialism .. not sure this is a word .. but just like your playing .. not usuall ❤❤
Massively fun and enjoyable, Ray. You can do this some more if you like.
The opening for Paganini 24 is a very catchy bit, I’m still trying to do it. If I practice really hard for another 1000 years, I still won’t be able to do it as well as you.
Ray Chen ROCKS!
I play youtube music in my background when I work on other tasks. When I heard this, I have to take a look. It's so good.
Brilliant!
더할 나위 없이 좋은 곡들을 레이의 연주로 듣는것 + 시시각각 변하는 그의 장난꾸러기같은 표정을 보는것😊😂 이 영상 너무 좋다❤
This video was just Ray riding a emotional rollor coaster:) Wonderful job to both musicians! I recognize all but no.18.
Love this video🔥🔥
I was waiting for la Campanella, my smile lit up when it was 20.
The way he plays the violin is like telling a story, and this video makes me curious about the body and the ending of those stories 😂. And I don't know why but my heart suddenly felt warm when I saw him wiping the sweat at the end of the video. I don't know if one day I will be able to hear him play violin in person, but I will be very happy if that day comes. ❤
Mischievous wonderfully performed ❤
Can't wait to see Ray in concert in Boulder next month!❤❤❤
